Moving Forward, I’ll Only Be Accepting Apologies In Effort And Cash
Moving forward, Iโll only be accepting apologies in effort and cash. Iโve learned that we donโt value anything that comes too easy. We like to suffer a bit, to endure a little pain so that we can tell our victory story.ย
The problem is, sometimes our victory comes at anotherโs expense. We donโt appreciate experiences at face value until theyโre gone. This isย human nature.ย ย
Moving forward, Iโll only be accepting apologies in cash. No one is perfect, but people are a little too comfortable mistreating me. People are a little too comfortable making the same mistake repeatedly without genuine effort to change. Please try cash, action, meeting me halfway, being open to having transformative conversations, or exiting.
We have biases that say people who are busier, scarce, or unobtainable have more value. Yes, on a technical level, they might possess sought-after expertise. However, on a primal level, theyโre still human.ย ย
Other times, theyโre recharging from the madness of life and will get back to you once theyโve recoveredโIโm not talking about these people. Youโll know the difference because you usually have a symbiotic relationship with them. Thereโs a mutual give and take.ย
People donโt ignore the individuals and opportunities they genuinely want. Not purposely, anyway. They work harder for them.
The truth is, some people straight up donโt see value in you, your service, your relationship, or your time. Other times, theyโreย tooย comfortable and take you for granted. When you tell them how you feel, they apologize for their behavior thousands of times without any real behavior change, which is fineโฆ
But moving forward, Iโll only be accepting apologies in effort and cash. Hereโs the link to my Patreon, Cash App, and PayPal. My energy is a limited and powerful resource.
I no longer have the bandwidth or desire for surface-level relationships. I realized thatย just because someone doesnโt see my worth doesnโt mean that Iโm unworthy.
Although I feel called to care for people, and it hurts my heart to see their pain, I can no longer sustain giving all of myself to others to my detriment.ย
When we keep accepting mediocre treatment, we believe itโs normal when itโs not. When we start making excuses for others, they donโt rise to meet our expectations. If this doesnโt change, we begin to internalize feelings of unhappiness, self-doubt, and it causes a ripple effect.
You ask for next-to-nothing, yet you think itโs too much. You tell yourself that you donโt have to demand respect, but you do. Youโre made to feel like youโre overbearing when youโre not.ย
I will no longer be accepting appreciation alone with a โjob well doneโ and a pat on the back. Show me appreciation by paying me more, respecting my values and treating me like a person, not a number, object, or tool.
I will no longer be accepting appreciation and apologies with โIโm sorryโ without a behavior change. Iโm willing to lose others, change my environment and entire life, to honor my self-respect.
Moving forward, I allow myself more desirable treatment because Iโm valuable.ย
Moving forward, I allow myself more opportunities to negotiate the best for my life.ย
Moving forward, I allow myself more opportunities to speak up, though I risk rejection. I can handle it.
Moving forward, Iโll only be accepting apologies in effort and cash.ย
Thank you, thatโs all.
