3 Zodiacs Affected By This New “Mini-Moon” Appearing September 29
The astrology world is buzzing with news that starting on September 29 and ending on November 25, planet Earth will be visited by a new “mini-Moon.”
For starters, this new “Moon” is really “mini.” Whereas the Moon we’re all familiar with—the one that hangs in the night sky, turns wolves into werewolves, and guides the ocean’s tides—is over 2,000 miles in diameter, this itty-bitty, teeny-weeny new celestial intruder is barely 33 feet in diameter. It’s basically a rogue asteroid that somehow weaseled its way into our solar system. It intends to hang out for a couple months, orbit the Earth in a peculiar horseshoe pattern, and then bounce for parts unknown sometime around Thanksgiving.
Astronomers discovered this mischievous asteroid in August. Rather than naming it after some god from ancient mythology, they gave it the flavorless name of “2024 PT5.” They say it originated in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Since this new baby second Moon is such a tiny little bugger, it may not have the same massive pull on our emotions and destiny as much larger celestial bodies do, but it will have an effect—specifically, on the three zodiac signs that are ruled by Mars, Jupiter, and the Moon:
1. Aries
Mars will hold the reins over your personal life throughout most of October. The warrior planet will give you added stamina to focus on matters involving home decor, whether it’s a complete remodeling or simply tidying up. Let the mini-Moon inspire you to add a dash of something to ignite the senses at home. Maybe a glowing Jack-o’-lantern or the soothing scent of spiced apple cider? In early November, brace yourself for some heavy emotional experiences. As the days shorten and the nights grow longer, be mindful of the inner voice that tells you there’s nothing you can’t handle.
2. Sagittarius
Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance, has propelled the mini-Moon into your life like an unexpected box of chocolates. Either love or financial blessings await you all the way through to Thanksgiving. But before fate launches you on this great adventure, pause to reflect on how your impulsive actions and self-defeating attitudes may have soured relationships or cost you money in the past. Then, when you’re feeling focused, balanced, and centered, indulge yourself. Savor those chocolates one at a time.
3. Cancer
The Moon is your celestial ruler and the source of your maternal instincts, including your desire to seek comfort and coziness at home. The Moon’s little buddy PT5 only accentuates these desires. Fall is when we retreat from the warm sun and nestle inside our homes. The chilly autumn air will urge you to build a fire in your heart. Light the match on a new relationship or rekindle one that’s grown cold. Look for romance beneath the light of the silvery Moon (as well as its tiny younger sibling). By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, warm your hands near a crackling fire and bask in contentment.
