Jupiter In Capricorn: Navigating The Extremes From 10/9-2/4

This planet and sign look like polar opposites, Jupiter the planet of abundance and fun, and Capricorn, ruled by stern Saturn, the embodiment of limits and realism.  A useful metaphor would be Jupiter, the outgoing life of the party celebrating in a bar accompanied by his wingman, Capricorn who makes sure J. doesn’t get too drunk or stoned and provides the steady arm to hold onto at the end of the boisterous night. 

Financially, Jupiter tends to take risks and may gamble or buy ‘drinks all around’ just because he likes to see everyone happy. His boy, Cap, is there to maybe allow the first round for all but puts a stop to the second or third. This depresses Jupiter, as he likes for his plans to flourish, but Cap. explains that he doesn’t have an infinite bankroll to share. 

On a more positive side, this combination can make for a very astute and strategic business person, with Cap. doing all the planning while Jupiter plays with the money; some would say this combination can be a cut-throat competitor! The downside of this placement is that there is an eternal push and pull between the desire for boundless fun and what amounts to psychological speed bumps in jolly Jupiter’s life path. Yet the speed bumps may just be his salvation!
