Accept The Love You Deserve, Not The Love That Will Break Your Heart

As women, we always go for someone that can break our hearts, the one that will cheat or betray us or even take advantage of our kindness and confuse it with us being naive and weak. We always want the “bad boy” who looks like James Dean’s twin.

This man will only hurt us in the end and make us regret ever stepping foot in that relationship while in a vulnerable state of mind. How lucky are we? We get to be wooed by a good-looking man, we think. But it leads to heartbreak, and that is something all women should be aware of when it comes to falling for a guy who isn’t worthy of our love or affection. We deserve to be loved through thick and thin. We deserve to be treated like actual human beings instead of a walking cliche. We deserve to be treated with as much respect and kindness as possible.

Ladies, you don’t have to be in a toxic situation, and you don’t have to let them win. In order to do that, you must be brave. You must be courageous. It’s hard to leave something when it’s all you think you have or deserve.

It’s even harder to find love after we have been burned so many times by the same person over and over again. It’s also harder to start over anew with someone who isn’t that same bad boy we were once totally in love with. Don’t stay with someone who hurts you or doesn’t make you feel good. It’s not worth the pain he puts you through, it’s not worth fighting for.

What is worth our time is a fairytale storybook love like Cinderella and to meet our very own handsome and kind prince who will sweep us off our feet and kiss us in the rain or underneath the midnight stars. We deserve the love we think we deserve. We need to know that we are worthy of such love and more than what we are settling for. Don’t give up on a good love for a bad one just because you think you’re not good enough for it.

Ladies, you are good enough and strong enough to move on with someone who can care for you, like Ryan Gosling in the Notebook. You will find someone who can literally pick you up in his arms and give you all the love you have been dreaming of.

Don’t be afraid to feel again, even if it makes you doubt those feelings. It never hurts to pick yourself up and try again. Let love in, because if you don’t, you will miss out on something great.

Please know, you are enough. There’s someone out there for everyone. Don’t worry if your prince charming doesn’t come—he will in due time. Have patience and you will find the love of your romance novel dreams. Who knows, you may even grow old with them like an IRL Noah and Allie! Dreams do come true.
