At The Right Place And The Right Time, You Will Find Your Person

You’re human.

You crave love.

You want to love someone with all your heart and be loved the same way. And sometimes—well, most of the time—you will fall, you will get bruised, and you will get your heart broken, and honestly, that is nothing to be ashamed of.

There will be times you ask God or the universe why you haven’t found the love of your life yet when others seem to have it easy. There will be times you will feel like giving up, thinking that maybe you’re destined to be alone, that no one is ever going to understand you.

But let me tell you something: At the right time and at the right place, the right person will come. You may bump into them at McDonald’s as you buy breakfast with your pajamas on. You might meet them at the next wedding you go to while you’re drinking champagne, watching the newly wed couple have their first dance and daydreaming about the day you get to do that too. You might come across them online as you swipe left and right.

Whatever the case may be, you’re going to meet your person, and that person will love you the way you deserve to be loved.

Your heart will be in the palm of their hands, but they won’t even think about crushing it to pieces. They will hold onto it as if it was fragile porcelain that needs the softest touch or else it will break. They’re going to prove to you that they will never hurt you and you will believe them.

Your person will be in awe as you start to unravel yourself to them. They will see you at your worst but will not walk away; instead, they will hold you close and love you even more.

It’s going to scare you, how they make loving you look so easy when all your life you’ve been made to believe how difficult it is to love you.

They will become your breath of fresh air from all the chaos around you. They’re going to be your safe haven.

It might be difficult to think someone like that exists, but they do.

So right now, while they’re still out there finding their way to you, you can focus on becoming the best version of yourself—or take some time off to wander and learn more about yourself or both. Whatever it is you do, you will stumble upon your person.

And when you do, you will feel it—every fibre in your being saying, “You don’t have to search anymore. You are home now.”
