It’s Not Easy Being A Restless Woman
Being a restless woman is tough because you never feel satisfied. No matter how much you accomplish, no matter how productive you are each and every day, you still expect more from yourself. You still crave more from this world. You are never happy with what’s directly in front of you because you are looking into the future. You are daydreaming about all the goals you have yet to accomplish. You are kicking yourself for not reaching milestones yet, even when you should be celebrating the fact that you made it as far as you have. You struggle to enjoy the present moment because you have your heart set on creating an even grander future for yourself.
Being a restless woman is tough because you never feel like your work is done. You always feel like you could be doing more, more, more. You grow frustrated when you feel like you aren’t making any forward momentum because you are all about progress. Feeling trapped in place is the worst way you can feel. It can severely mess with your self-esteem and cause you to stop seeing your own value.
Being a restless woman is tough because you grow bored easily. It’s hard to keep your mind, or your heart, occupied for long because you get tired of repetition. You don’t want to live the same day on repeat for the rest of your life. You want to experience new things. You want to see the world and meet new people. You want to go beyond the bubble that you’ve been living in and really experience life. You don’t want the days to pass by and have nothing to show for it. You want to squeeze the most potential out of every single day – but some days are supposed to be slower. Some days are supposed to be filled with routine. And it can be a struggle to get through those days when you’re interested in more thrilling ones.
Being a restless woman is tough because you cannot sit still for long. You cannot stand being trapped with your own thoughts, doing absolutely nothing, and having nothing on your schedule to look forward to in the coming days. You always need to stay busy, or to at least know there are exciting plans right around the corner, or you’re going to feel like you’re wasting away.
Being a restless woman is tough because you struggle to hold onto happiness. What might make you smile one day will end up feeling dull the next day. You are constantly searching for change. Even though it’s scary to step out into the unknown, it’s even scarier to settle for a predictable life where you’re repeating the same routine day after day after day with no end in sight. No matter how great things are going for you, you are always interested in moving onto bigger and better things. You don’t want to be a big fish in a small pond. You want to consistently challenge yourself. You want to continue growing.
Being a restless woman is tough because you’re always exhausting yourself. You never give yourself the chance to rest, even though you deserve it. Even though you need to let yourself relax sometimes.
