You’re the kind of person who loves hard, aren’t you? 

You crave love so deeply, so furiously. You give so much of yourself to others that sometimes you neglect your own needs. 

If that is your truth, so be it. But please, don’t let yourself fall for the bad ones. The ones who make you feel as if you are anything less than significant. 

Don’t let yourself get attached to the ones who only want to pull away. The ones with a heart that does match your capacity to love. The ones who, you won’t admit, you make excuses for. 

These people are not distant because they’re afraid of getting hurt, they’re distant because it’s a lack of trying. They don’t fear attachment because they fear they could lose you, but because they’re uncomfortable with someone seeing them for who they are, deep down.

These people give reasons for why they can’t love you and those are excuses. And that’s okay. Sometimes there are souls that aren’t meant to be yours to love. 

So please, stop manipulating your thinking when it comes to them. Understand that if someone wants to be with you, they will be. There will be no lackluster love, excuses, mistakes. 

If someone wants you—your mind, your soul, your body, your heart—they will show you how badly they do. They will make an effort. They will prove themselves in subtle, beautiful ways. They will show you that, despite any fears they might have deep down, they want to be a part of your life one way or another, and they’ll make sure it happens.
