In a now-viral TikTok, the divorce lawyer, known as jettigirl28 on TikTok, references the top five professions women should avoid in a spouse. She says that the top five professions women should avoid marrying, in no particular order, are:
- Firemen
- Policemen
- Military
- Surgeons
- Pilots
Jettigirl28 states that these types of professionals are treated like gods in their fields. She says:
“If you’re a policeman, you’re walking around with a gun. You’re walking around with authority. If you’re a surgeon, you’re walking around the hospital. Everybody looks up to you, you’re in charge, everybody treats you with respect. And then you come home, and all of a sudden, somebody’s asking you to take out the trash. I think that that’s a difficult kind of transition to make.”
Jettigirl28 does stress that if you’re married to one of these professions, you’re not doomed for divorce. She stresses that she is simply sharing from her experience as a divorce lawyer, having seen men in these professions be more “narcissistic” and “controlling,” which makes divorcing that much more difficult.
