Not all things happen the way we originally plan for them to. Instead, they happen the way they were meant to happen. You see, when something doesn’t work out the way we had hoped, it could mean one of two things: (1) The thing was never meant for us to have in the first place or (2) we’ve outgrown what (and who) we once were, and now, our inkling is to expand outward into who we are desperately and subconsciously itching to become. So in every sense, when we fail or something doesn’t work out, it is by all accounts a good thing… Even if it doesn’t seem so at the time.
Whether we see it or not, every moment of our lives is happening for our growth, for our happiness, and for our best interest. Even though you may not see it right now we are always growing, changing, and evolving to fit our ideal selves. It may not make sense in this moment, but in a week, a month, a year, or even a decade, everything will one day make sense. You will remember this moment as the moment that changed everything; the moment that your life changed for the better, even if it seems wrong right now as though you were robbed of something you desperately thought was for you. This is part of the learning curve that is our lives and instead of forcing yourself to believe that one wrong turn means you ended up in the wrong destination, it could just mean that one wrong turn was a step closer to finding the right path for you.
You see, failure is not an end destination. Failure is a step forwards towards what is ultimately right for you, so in essence, there is no such thing as losing in this life we live. It is only when you realize this that you let go of the stress, the burden, the hurt and the turmoil that you feel right now. You are in control of how you perceive everything. You can choose to see this moment as a moment of epic growth and transcendence or a moment of never-ending failure and loss. The choice is up to you.
Whatever you choose to decide though, have peace in knowing that you’ve always been lightly guided in the right direction every single moment of your life. That perhaps there is something better for you just around the corner if you allow it to come to fruition.
Do not lose faith. Fully trust that what is right for you will find you. Trust that you are being well-taken care of. Trust that you do not need to feel as though you are lacking.
Because when something doesn’t work out, it just means that the Universe is crafting something else for you. Stay the course and allow your sails to absorb whatever wind the sea may throw at you. In the end, you’ll end up exactly where you are supposed to be.
