Where’s The Magical Type Of Love Everyone Is Talking About?

Love, the powerful feeling we’re all looking for. Most of us have loved and been loved at least once in our lives. But we’ve definitely all experienced different types of love. It’s difficult to be a hopeless romantic these days, and social media posts and quotes on love aren’t helping. Yes, strong and unbreakable love does exist, but it’s rare to find in our times since people are desensitized to feelings. We do find love, but it’s never as strong and beautiful as in those stories we were told as children.

But why does it often not live up to the expectations? Why is it never like in the romance novels we all read during our teenage years? Does it even exist? Or is it just me that hasn’t found it?

Where’s the love you keep telling me about? The one that shakes you to your core, making you feel all the things you’ve never thought possible. The kind of love that doesn’t make you anxious but brings you peace and a sense of safety. The love that becomes stronger each day you’re around them, growing both in intensity and depth.

Where’s the love straight from the fairytales? The type of love that all your favorite heroines from books had. The love that made their partners defy death and travel to the ends of the world just to ensure the safety of their lovers. This love has no limitations and makes you realize that neither does your strength. Is that love even real? Or is it just an illusion?

Where’s the love that makes you not want to ever leave their side? The love that gives you a reason to breathe — not because you can’t live without them, but because your life is better with them in it. When your partner is your lover, best friend, confidant, and partner in crime. This type of love feels safe and familiar, even if you haven’t been together long. This love feels just right.

Where’s the love that never goes away? The love that doesn’t decrease in intensity but remains strong and stable, standing the test of time. The love that gets more and more caring and devoted as time goes by, showing you that love isn’t romantic and passionate only at the very beginning.

See, I don’t want a perfect love — that’s not what I’m looking for. I just want someone who will fight alongside me, support me, and not give up at the very first sign of things not going well.

Love can be many things. But we’re all looking for that something, that spark. It’s different for everyone, but we all deserve it. So, even though it hasn’t been your time yet, keep hoping.

You never know what’s coming.
