Why You Should Make The First Move In 2022

You should make the first move because waiting is the worst part. Wondering whether they feel the same is the worst part. Examining every move they make in person and on their social media is exhausting. Instead of trying to decipher their texts and body language for clues that they might be interested in you, all you have to do is make the first move.

Even though it’s scary, making the first move beats sitting around for months, hoping that they’re going to do the work for you. It’s better to know that they aren’t interested so you can move on than waste another year of your life chasing after someone who doesn’t want to be caught. And if they actually are interested in you? Then you get to start your relationship early. You won’t miss out on another second you could be spending as their partner. Either way, you win. You earn back time.

You should make the first move because you need to practice pursuing what you want. Your life isn’t going to change anytime soon if you keep repeating the same routine day after day. You need to make a change if you want to see your world to change. You need to take control of your own destiny. Don’t put your future in anyone else’s hands. You have the power to alter the course of your life. You have the agency to decide how your path twists and turns. Instead of letting someone else take control, do the work yourself. Trust yourself. Rely on yourself — because relying on everybody else could become a bad habit.

You should make the first move because the timing is never going to feel perfect. You’ll always have an excuse to wait until tomorrow. But procrastinating could backfire on you. This person could end up with someone else before you have the chance to express your feelings – and then you’ll always wonder what could have happened. You’ll always regret not speaking up when you had the chance.

If you’re single and they’re single, then what do you have to lose? You might be worried that a rejection will destroy your confidence, but it might actually boost your confidence. After all, you’d be proving your doubts wrong. You’d be showing yourself you have what it takes to chase after what you really want. That’s an incredibly important asset. You already know what you want, which is the hardest part of any journey. So why not go get it?

You should make the first move because you are more lovable than you realize. Anyone would be lucky to call you their partner. Even though you spend so much time questioning your worth, you are valuable. You are a catch. If this person is unable to see how special you are, then maybe the next person will. But you’ll never know unless you try. Unless you push aside your insecurities and listen to your gut. Follow your heart. Chase your dreams. Take a chance and see where it takes you.
