You Manifested Into My Life Just Like A Dream

You manifested into my life just like a dream and I didn’t know what to do with it,
Do I take your hand and shake it to see if it will break or do I just accept you in the all-fine packaging you come in?
The tenderest night of a slow spring,
Seems its Orion stars and blood moon did some meddling,
and you were brought to me.

Passion strikes the clock tower golden,
String of lights come alive within your heaven,
Enchanted was the night by our meeting,
Planets colliding, happenstance rejoicing,
Time unveils the power of your hand, my step in your land,
Were you gifted to me to be a lasting memory or is life really better than I believed?

Passing storms know better than to rain on us,
Fate in vines know better than to make a mess of things,
Two souls light aflame, meeting for the first time.
Passing thoughts know better than to ruin a good moment,
Forlorn tales know better than to leap off the pages,
Two souls burning nights, lost in each other for the first time.
Passing ships know better than to crash on us,
Forgotten ghosts know better than to spring on us,
Two souls catching fire, loving for the first time.

Fear resides in my mind of a telling as old as time that anything perfect’s bound to stain,
It’s only a matter of time until even archaic pillars frail,
Falling into heavy euphemisms of passages and tales,
Crafting words in worlds that no longer live,
A prophecy thundering through my blood and dreams,
I fear this for you and me.

The Gods are bigger than us with cryptic power in their hands,
Keeping time from us, leaving memories with us,
The nights get warmer while the days pass cooler,
Summer breezes winding trust and meaning into my now grown hair by the sleight of hand,
Small glimpses still come by of myself wandering this life without you,
God, please, let me have you.

I’m spellbound by your beauty,
and the thundering wilderness that your heart brings,
Carrying forests and universes under your belt,
Bathing me in folktales and light waves,
Leading your kingdom with the crown in my hands,
I’m Athena when you’re my man.

Look ahead now, darling, look straight at us,
Let’s light our palace and drench our rivers,
Let the trail burn behind us, while we’re blazing towards the sun,
Look ahead now, darling, look straight at me,
We’ll play the game for players and lose in the name of love and carve forever in the tree trunks of our land,
We’ll play our hand, we’ll bend the bends,
We’ll fight the battle of this moment and lose ourselves in it and make forever a part of our plan.

Spontaneously, wondrously, heartwreckingly ours;
We’ll hold onto every passing light, every loss from fight, every mountain conquered in this world,
We’ll hold onto you and me, all our nights and dreams, and this binding knot of unwoven string holding you onto me.
