4 Zodiac Signs That Never Relax On Vacation

Some star signs seem to have been born relaxed—they’re chillaxed whether working or playing.Other signs find the workplace extremely stressful, but they know how to leave the job at work and unwind on weekends and on vacation.

But these four signs are hyper-driven and have trouble separating work from play. But overachieving can come at the expense of your happiness and mental health. These four zodiac signs would do well to learn that all work and no play can make you very unhappy.

1. Gemini

First, there’s the planning. Then, there’s the packing. After that, there’s the driving. If the trip involves an airport, there’s the parking. Then, there’s the long slog through TSA. Then, there’s the waiting at the terminal. Sometimes, there are flight delays. And you can’t even get a minute’s worth of sleep because there are constant loud flight announcements blasting over the PA system. Then there’s the super-crowded flight. Then, there’s the waiting at the baggage carousel. After that comes the car-rental agency. Then, more driving. Then, you have to register at the hotel. At that point, who has time for the beach? Who needs all the stress? Gemini finds vacations more exhausting than working a full-time job.

2. Virgo

Virgos tend to be obsessive and completist. If you’re taking that once-in-a-lifetime trip to Rome, you have to see everything in the Eternal City. You don’t want to miss a single sight or taste. You have to see the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Vatican, the ruins at Pompeii, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Catacombs, the Capuchin Crypt, and the Roman Forum. You have to sample authentic Italian pasta, pizza, globe artichokes, salted bread, and every last variation of Romano, parmesan, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. You’d never forgive yourself if, on the flight back home, you realized that you got yourself so exhausted yourself rushing from one thing to the next, you forgot to look up at Michelangelo’s famous painting on the Sistine Chapel. Take a deep breath, Virgo. Vacations are for relaxing. They aren’t an endurance test.

3. Sagittarius

Just like Virgos, Sags find vacations incredibly stressful, but for the completely opposite reason—they get bored and anxious because all they did was rent a motel room in another city for a week. All motel rooms look the same. And every motel pool is exactly the same, too—it’s wet, you get it. So you spend your vacation pacing your motel room or sitting at poolside anxiously staring into space. Next time you go on vacation, you have to plan three things: 1) Try a new activity such as mountain biking or, hey, even hang-gliding; 2) Sample a new cuisine you’ve never tried before, whether it’s Indian food, soul food, or German bratwurst and sauerkraut; 3) See something you’d never be able to see in your hometown such as an underground waterfall or an old-fashioned steam-powered train ride. Then you’ll realize why people take vacations.

4. Aries 

It’s possible to be too responsible, and this is never more evident than when the Ram tries to take some time off and get away from the hustle and bustle of working life. You are so anxious about all the work that will pile up while you’re on vacation, you bring your laptop and phone along with you. Sure, those are beautiful mountains right outside the cabin. Yes, that’s a big hot tub with jets so powerful that they’d render your overworked muscles as soft and loose as boiled noodles. But who can enjoy any of these things when there’s so much unfinished work left to do? Aries, you need to remember that vacations don’t merely involve leaving home—you have to leave your job back home, too. Turn off your devices, tune out, and enjoy life.
