‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Character You Are, Based On Your Birth Month
January
Your character: Laurel Conklin

You know how to get things done and won’t take any BS in the process—and what better way to describe Laurel? She’s independent, hard-working, and knows what she wants, but that doesn’t stop her from being the support system her best friend needs in her time of crisis. She is always there for the people she loves most, acting as their rock, but let’s not get it twisted—that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to let her hair down and have fun. She’s witty, funny, and willing to let off some steam when things get stressful, which is what makes her such a relatable character.
February
Your character: Cam Cameron

Oh, Cam Cameron, how we love you. Though he hasn’t had much of a storyline since Season 1, we all remember Belly’s first date fondly as the guy who was perfect—just not perfect for her. Cam Cameron was soft, sweet, and sometimes just a little awkward—and he’s all the more lovable for it. While he doesn’t have the loudest personality, he has a lot of interests (like marine biology and DJing) and cares a lot about the people in his life. He’s a great friend to have in your corner.
March
Your character: Cleveland Castillo

Laurel’s love interest in season 1, Cleveland wasn’t around for long, but he did play a very important role for quite a few of the characters: He was the person who was there. He was a mentor and a friend to Conrad when he had no one else to talk to, and he was an outlet for Laurel’s pain and sense of instability when she needed it most. But he’s more than just a shoulder to cry on—he’s also a successful author in his own right who’s always up for a new adventure. You relate to being both the rock for others while always striving for more in their private and personal lives.
April
Your character: Jeremiah Fisher

Jeremiah is loyal, outgoing, and fun—however, he also has a tendency to act without thinking and jump into something without considering what could go wrong. (How about that impromptu proposal at the hospital, guys?) While it may be easy to harp on him for not always seemingly doing the right thing, he does generally have good intentions, and he hates it when his personal mistakes hurt the people who loves most—something you relate to. But when he decides he’s in your corner, he will always be in your corner.
May
Your character: Shayla

Shayla is kind, sweet social butterfly, but she also knows exactly who she is. She’s not afraid to stand out from the crowd, but that’s also not her main focus—she just wants to be her authentic self, and she doesn’t want anyone holding her back from that. She’s also incredibly cool and confident without really trying, attracting attention everywhere she goes—and if you can’t accept her for that, she isn’t willing to make herself smaller just to make you comfortable.
June
Your character: Belly Conklin

Soft, sensitive, and sentimental—these are all perfect ways to describe Belly. She loves love, but she isn’t about whirlwind romances or forgettable flings. For her, love is about sweeping grand gestures, about knowing someone better than the back of your own hand, about your partner’s heart feeling like home. While she does sometimes get in her own way, she so badly wants to be there for the people she loves and to nurture them in their times of need. She also prefers a night in with her favorite people than a night out.
July
Your character: Taylor Jewel

Taylor isn’t afraid to be exactly who she is, except in those small moments of insecurity when something really important (like her heart) is on the line. She will tell you exactly how it is, but she’ll also help you clean up the mess along the way. She’s also incredibly loyal, as evidenced by being Belly’s oldest friend—and being willing to patch up whatever issues they had when they started to grow apart. In the words of Taylor, “Bad b*tches deserve their roses, too,” which should basically be your motto.
August
Your character: Steven Conklin

Steven may be Belly’s annoying big brother, but he’s also so much more when you get to know him as a character—he’s deeply caring, oftentimes silly, and deep down, a true romantic (though this shines through the little things more than any grand gesture). He’s ready to step up when people need him most, and he’s fiercely protective of people in his inner circle. That being said, if you come to him for advice, he’ll tell you exactly how it is without pulling any punches—and, okay, maybe give you just a little bit of crap about it. Even when he’s grounded, he doesn’t lose that bit of playfulness about him.
September
Your character: Susannah Fisher

Susannah’s heart was always so full of love for the people in her life. She’s not afraid to be fun and frivolous, like when she wanted Belly to become a debutante, despite Laurel’s objections, but there’s still a seriousness to her when it counts. She would do anything for her people, even in the last months of her life, and was often the balance her family and friends needed, often acting as the glue in uncertain or difficult situations. She knew how to be there for people—just like you do.
October
Your character: Conrad Fisher

It’s no surprise Belly seemed to never know what was going on in Conrad’s head—he has a mysterious, enigmatic quality, especially when he has something to hide. We saw this when he was warring with his feelings for Belly and carrying the weight of his mother’s life-changing secret; instead of putting his heart on his sleeve, he tries to push others away, only compelling them more. But while he can be hard to pin down, when he loves, he loves with every single part of himself—and when he decides he wants something, his heart is set on it.
November
Your character: Nicole

Nicole is self-confident and always ready to go after what she wants. Even when Conrad, her summer fling, fumbles her, she’s upset but quickly moves on, recognizing her worth and knowing there are better guys out there. That being said, she’s also not one to be messed with—remember when she left Belly and Taylor out in the water and took all their stuff? That being said, she is also incredibly kind and thoughtful and a good friend when it counts.
December
Your character: Skye

Skye doesn’t care about fitting in, they just care about being themselves. That being said, while they’re adamant that they’re fine being on their own and that they don’t need others, they do find that they actually thrive with a community of people who care about them. They may march to the beat of their own drum, but they care a lot about the people around them. Ultimately, this is why Skye can’t agree with what their mom is doing—they know it’s important to stick with their people.
