Read This When You Can’t Stop Looking At Their Old Texts

Maybe you broke things off or maybe they did. Maybe things seemed to be going great, and then maybe they weren’t. Maybe they went radio silent and you were never given so much as a “goodbye.”

Whatever the case, when things fall apart, it’s only human to look backward to try to understand what went wrong. And today, we often do so by turning to old texts.

This makes enough sense. It’s the most readily available “evidence” we have. And so, we analyze, dissect, and pull these messages apart in attempts to figure out why things happened the way they did. We pinpoint the “signs” were were too much or that they were losing interest.

But rereading old texts will not give way to new revelations. It will not help you move forward to the future because the simple act of engaging with old words is a sure fire way to stay grounded in the past.

The truth is this: They are no longer in your life. You are no longer in theirs. And you’re going to have to find a way to be okay with that.

You can start by deleting their number and the text thread.
