As the saying goes, “All work and no play make you miserable, boring, and probably a little smelly.” OK, maybe that’s not exactly how the saying goes, but I’m feeling a little lazy today and didn’t feel like looking it up. But in general, there’s nothing wrong with oversleeping, not doing the dishes, taking a “sick day” off when you’re perfectly healthy, or delaying that home-improvement project that is long overdue. Or let’s just say that there’s nothing wrong with any of these things so long as you don’t make a habit of them.

But if you choose listlessness as a lifestyle and procrastinate more often than you plot out your future, you’re going to find yourself falling behind in life. This will become glaringly apparent when you suddenly enter a new phase that requires extra discipline and focus. If you have an avoidant personality, life—in its harsh but caring way—will present you with problems you just can’t afford to avoid.

Here are four zodiac signs who need to get their act together so they can meet a new challenge that life is ready to throw at them.

1. Taurus

The near future will bring an unexpected shift in your economic circumstances that happened through no fault of your own—either someone else caused you a huge financial loss due to their negligence, or the economy changed in a way that abruptly disadvantaged you. The main problem with your work ethic is that you take care of the basics but rarely go that extra mile. Being ruled by Venus means that you also like pampering yourself with unnecessary extravagances. But the coming changes will mean you need to cut out the luxuries, quit being so goddamned stubbornly inert, and work hard to remedy this new economic earthquake that is sure to shake your life.

2. Libra

Your next life phase will bring a new friend or lover who comes from a higher social class than you do and has worked hard to get where they are. If it’s a new lover, the problem will be that you don’t have the financial base to build a stable life with them, and sooner or later it will cause problems. If it’s a new friend, it doesn’t matter how well you get along at first—as time grinds on, they will start to resent having to cover the restaurant bill, the fact that you can’t take time off to go see the game or concert they’ve been dying to see with you, or your perpetual inner shame when their very existence reminds you that you’ve taken a “Nice and easy does it” approach to life and are beginning to pay the penalty.

4. Leo

For most of your life you’ve breezed along on a wink and a smile, and because you are so naturally likable, you’ve managed to slack off a little bit and let those around you do the dirty work and put in the overtime hours. But you’re going to be responsible for someone else very soon—sooner than you expect, and sooner than you’re ready for it.
