4 Zodiacs Who Don’t Realize What They Have Until It’s Gone

TAURUS

A Taurus is stubborn. They will be so completely absorbed in holding their position without budging that they don’t even see what they’re losing in the process. When the dust finally settles, because there’s no one left fighting with them at this point, they’ll realize just what’s happened. Their pride always gets the better of them, and the list of things they’ve lost in the name of “winning” are too great to count. They mourn in private, knowing in the end this could all have been avoidable, but they still never change. It’s just the way they’re hardwired. They need someone to call them on their bluff, to get through to their emotional side in these arguments, someone who can snap them out of it. When that happens, they’re ready to come to the bargaining table and sign a truce.

LEO

Leos take things for granted because they assume they’ll never end. The summer nights, the sleepovers with friends, the house parties, the family vacations, the burrito from the place down the street, the relationships, the projects, the friendships. Their lives are so full, so busy, so social, that it feels like their sources of joy and entertainment could never run out. They are too distracted by the present to reflect on the past or imagine the future. Too wrapped up in moving from one high to the next to notice how fleeting each one is. They don’t stop to appreciate it all until life forces them too, usually when a great loss is felt. Their disappointment is matched by their confusion. This type of thing doesn’t happen to a Leo—the good old days were last night, weren’t they?

VIRGO

A Virgo can’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone because they refuse to show any sign of weakness. They’d rather roll over and die than let you see you’ve hurt them. They’ll be the ones to tell you to leave or that they’re fine with a breakup while screaming internally that they want you to stay. The problem is, that inner voice is buried so deep within their psyche that sometimes they can’t even hear it. But they do feel it once they know no one is watching and they can lay on the floor crying blasting Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn”. They will suffer for weeks and months, like one of those movie montages where someone stares out of a window while it’s raining, all the while knowing they could relieve their own suffering by picking up the phone.

LIBRA

Libra’s don’t always recognize the value of something beyond its ability to provide balance to the rest of their lives. They can’t put too many eggs in any one basket, in an effort to reduce risk, but in the process fail to grasp the entirety of what they really have. The regret they feel when said “basket” is gone is worse than if they had gone all in and lost. They carry all of those what ifs and could haves around with them, knowing that the only reason these things never came to fruition is their own trepidation. They value moderation and caution so much that they miss out on the bigger, bolder emotions life has to offer. The most painful part is that when loss hits them, they don’t feel they deserve to grieve more than an acquaintance.
