Anyone who has relationships with people, whether it’s romantic, platonic, or familial, need to set boundaries. Although they can sometimes be difficult to enforce, healthy boundaries keep you happy and healthy when dealing with others. Some signs are great at making and enforcing boundaries (I’m looking at you, Scorpio), but others could use a little help. These four signs should make a resolution to set stronger boundaries in 2023.
Aries
There are areas of your life where you’re great at setting boundaries. You don’t mind telling family when they need to respect your personal time, or letting friends know that you won’t be available for every favor they ask. The trouble arises once you fall in love. You fall easily and with abandon, and while that’s a gorgeous trait of yours, it also means that you’re often blinded by that love. You let your partners walk all over you, much to the annoyance of your friends and family. You know how important boundaries are. And yet…although you set them all the time, enforcing them is another story. If you feel like anyone you’re setting boundaries with feels bad about it, it’ll be damn near impossible for you to keep it up. You don’t want to hurt people’s feelings after all. Sure, you didn’t want to be called or texted after 10 PM unless it was an emergency, but you hate to hear the sadness in your mom’s voice when you say something about it. Here’s the thing: Enforcing boundaries is hard and takes work. It doesn’t always feel good in the moment, but it’ll be better for you in the long run.
