4 Zodiacs Who Struggled With Their Own Success In October

SAGITTARIUS

Behind all of Sag’s self-deprecating humor, is just a bunch of self-deprecation. No matter how much they accomplish, how many people they convince, or impress, or convert into true believers of their ability, the one person Sagittarius can never win over is themselves. They look around the room, at colleagues and clients, mentors and managers, and feel without a doubt that they don’t belong there, that they haven’t earned the right yet. Sagittarius feels like a fraud, like at any moment someone will discover the thread they are hanging by, and all of their success will be exposed for what it truly is, an illusion. For them, it’s a problem of active listening. They need to pick up on the social clues and consistency in communication and see how authentic everyone’s approval is.

VIRGO

For Virgo, no amount of success is ever enough. And with the way they go after the Everests of the world, life can feel a little empty when there are no clear bigger and better feats to attempt. But an adrenaline junkie is easy to spot, just watch for the spec jumping out of a plane or attached to the end of a bungee chord. A validation junkie like Virgo, however, is so much harder to pinpoint and please. Once they’ve gained the esteem of someone they admire, there’s no way to restart the whole experience and live it over again. At some point, they have to pivot and start seeking their own enjoyment and approval. They have to become their own north star.

PISCES

Pisces struggles with their own success because they’re so shy. They don’t know how to deal with the sudden onset of attention and praise. It’s their biggest internal contradiction – they do and make things with the hope and intention that someone else will connect to or find enjoyment from their work, but they don’t actually want any direct recognition for it. That’s why you’ll so commonly find them employing a nom de plume or other alias. Then the struggle becomes a deep and anxiety driven fear that their cover could be blown at any moment. That the anonymity they cherish could disappear forever once they are thrust into that harshest spotlight. They have to decide which is worse – a life without creativity and purpose, or a life where they are no longer a wallflower.

ARIES

When Aries reaches new heights of success, they bemoan their loss of autonomy. Because once they become the poster child for something, being a brand ambassador is a full-time job, and suddenly there is no time for the thing that actually brought them renown in the first place. Promoting a book is not the same as writing one. Starting a company is not the same as being the face of one. And Aries enjoys that hands on keyboard, individual contributor lifestyle. They’d rather be a freak in the Excel sheets than try to delegate and manage personalities. It’s okay to acknowledge those preferences, and try to maintain their humble roots, but it also begs the question, are they clinging to their comfort zone instead of embracing new opportunity for growth?
