4 Zodiacs Most Likely To Fool Everyone At A Masquerade (And Why)

SCORPIO

Everyone has this preconceived notion of a Scorpio at a masquerade, and it’s all very Eyes Wide Shut from start to finish. Sexual deviancy is so unbridled it requires complete anonymity. Intimidation. Big names. Backroom deals. High-profile accomplices. But Scorpio has more Jim Carey energy than anyone would ever expect. They’ll be clowning around in a bright yellow suit with matching fedora, or performing a “Cuban Pete” musical number that everyone expects from the likes of Sagittarius. Scorpio has this lighthearted, nostalgic side to them that no one ever really acknowledges. The whole point of a masquerade is to hide your identity, and when you’re known as the zodiac’s master of seduction, you’ve got to resort to something unexpected in order to lose yourself in a crowd of unfamiliar faces, so Scorpio will leave the cat woman suit at home.

ARIES

Aries exudes power in their everyday life, so they fool everyone at a masquerade with a look that is soft and unassuming. Everyone is expecting a gladiator or superhero, but they come dressed as an angel, a mouse, or a nun. Nothing flashy, nothing that demands the attention an Aries typically commands. No one would ever guess it’s them moving gracefully through a room of people behind soft fabric and muted colors speaking in their softest voices. For once, this is Aries’s chance to experience life as a wallflower, watching everyone else living out their fantasies. They become the observer instead of the observed, taking in all of the interactions and personalities around them. They realize just how much they miss at a normal party where everyone immediately recognizes their face and immediately strikes up a conversation.

TAURUS

A masquerade is Taurus’ chance to ditch the designer looks and slum it a little. They go for a look that’s a little more rugged and worn instead of posh and polished. A pirate, a plumber, a lumberjack. Anything that is the complete opposite of their typical style and aesthetic. They’ll fool everyone at the party by ditching their black tie waltz and replacing it with a country line dance. Anything to throw people off their scent. It’s their chance to be judged on their personality alone, without their looks or price tags getting in the way. The stigma of being a bit too confrontational and stubborn is also left at the door. They just want to know what kind of first impression they’re able to make when their reputation doesn’t precede them.

PISCES

Pisces is always taking the piss for being the emotional one, the tragedy heroine, the wide-eyed savant, but at a masquerade, they take on the role of a carefree, joyous character to keep everyone guessing who is behind the mask. They become the clown, the jester, the scarecrow. Someone who is always laughing, and never thinking or fretting too hard. Instead of losing themselves in introspection like always, this is the one night they live to entertain and be the life of the party. They are the first one on the dance floor, and the last one to exit. They know how to loosen up when the circumstances call for it.
