LEO

Leo has a reputation to uphold. If they feel any conflict with another person reflects poorly on that reputation, they have a tendency to cut people off, even if they’re unfairly judging them. They can hold people to a higher standard than they hold themselves, often without even realizing it. Their ‘popular privilege’ means many of their own discretions go unnoticed or are never confronted, so they have a skewed sense of self-righteousness. If someone betrays their confidence, it’s not the same as the secret they repeated to a select few people in their inner circle. If only they could see that they too have been guilty of the transgressions they balk so strongly at in others, they could show more compassion and react in a reasonable manner.

VIRGO

Virgo wants, no needs, to be the best. And so they let rivalries emerge and fester where a natural friendship could have bloomed. They feel threatened by those who display similar interests and talents, and instead of letting those similarities draw them closer, Virgo creates a wall to protect themselves from feelings of inferiority. It’s not entirely their fault, however. If they are guilty of anything, it’s only of drinking the kool-aid society has been offering them their entire life. No one ever showed them an alternative. That it’s possible to ask a competitor for advice, guidance, or mentorship. Aries lives and dies by their loyalties, and their pride in that aspect of their reputations closes them off to other possibilities that may be in their best interest. It doesn’t matter if their soulmate happened to date someone in their social circle first, that means their absolutely off-limits. They feel it’s a betrayal to quit their job to accept an offer from a competing company. They can’t give someone the benefit of the doubt when they rub their parents the wrong way. By doing so, Aries puts other people’s feelings and judgement before their own. They make the mistake of thinking their worth comes from their adherence to other’s desires, instead of trusting their own ability to form an opinion or make a decision.

Scorpio lets pride get in the way when it comes to making amends. They take a fight as the end all be all in a relationship, instead of chalking it up to what it is, the venting of negative emotions. They’ll never be the first to apologize or admit they were wrong. They won’t tell someone they still love them if they feel the least bit hurt or afraid of being abandoned. They will cling to a front of nonchalance instead of taking the very big risk of embracing the vulnerability of being human. We all get hurt. We all say things we don’t mean.
