Aries can’t slow down for anyone, and doesn’t have time to teach anyone how to catch up. They have a goal in mind and will stop at nothing for no one to accomplish it. So the idea of pressing pause and trying to make their life and all of its plans fit into someone else’s box, or idea of a box of what a relationship should be just isn’t going to fly. There is no room for compromise or sacrifice, everything is one-hundred percent exertion towards their goal. They are the type to seek out an extremely demanding career or lifestyle, that is anything but the suburban American dream. But don’t make the mistake of assuming they’re living a life of solitude – they’re extremely desirable, but their relationships tend to be categorized as a good time instead of a long time.

If a Scorpio settles down, that means the world will be missing a Casanova. Someone people fantasize and salivate over. Someone people feel lucky to have even passed on the street. And god forbid you are blessed enough to be one of the chosen few to be seduced by a Scorpio, you’ll be talking about it as long as you live, even to your mortified grandkids. Scorpio knows they truly have a gift, and don’t intend to squander it sticking with a high school sweetheart. Part of the reason they are so skilled romantically is because they have the innate ability to recognize and hold a mirror up to what makes other people ‘sexy’. They help pull people out of their own shells and teach them that confidence and being genuine are the most attractive qualities of all.

Settling down implies staying in one place, which is the one thing that Sagittarius absolutely cannot do. They don’t even want to go to the same restaurant twice in a row, let alone buy a house and commit to a mortgage. They’re much more at home exploring a new city, wandering down unknown streets, stumbling into libraries and pubs and shops. They need novelty in their lives, to encounter the unknown, and expose themselves to new ways of thinking, living, and being. To them, settling down means a promise of consistency, and they have no idea what they’ll want to be doing in five years, let alone next, or even more importantly tomorrow, and if change is the only constant in their lives, how can they even know what kind of partner they will want or need throughout this evolution?

Gemini can’t settle down because they can’t make peace between the different facets of their personality, and if they haven’t learned to compromise with themselves, you can sure as hell bet they’re not ready to do it with someone else. You’ve never met a person with a fuller calendar who insists they want nothing more than to sit on their couch all day like a hermit.
