Your Parenting Style, Based On Your Birth Month

January

As a parent, you’re going to be pretty by the book. You take your role as a parent seriously, so you’re going to read up on how to raise your children right. You’re going to buy a million self-help books and read a thousand articles to try to figure out the best way to comfort your child and feed your child and raise your child.

February

As a parent, you’re going to be extremely stressed. Raising children takes a lot out of you. Since you’re going to try to be the best parent you can be, you’re always going to be running around doing chores. You’re going to exhaust yourself by taking on too much at once. But it’s because you’re so worried about getting this right.

March

As a parent, you’re going to be a pushover. You’re going to let your kids do anything they want because it’s too hard to say no to them. You love them more than anything, and you want them to be happy, so watching them cry is a nightmare for you. You would rather coddle them, even when you know it’s wrong.

April

As a parent, you’re going to be winging it. You don’t care what other parents have to say about their parenting styles. You can handle yourself. You can raise your children in a way that works best for you. You don’t want advice that you never asked for from random strangers and family members. You’ve got this.

May

As a parent, you’re going to be extremely silly. Your children will see you as a friend because you’ll always be goofing around and trying to make them laugh. You won’t hesitate to get on the floor and play games with them because you want to spend as much quality time together as possible. You want to enjoy your time together.

June

As a parent, you’re going to be extremely tired. Your schedule is going to change completely as soon as you have children and it’s going to take a while to adjust. You might have to start drinking more coffee and going to bed earlier because you’ll never know when your child will need you. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be worth it.

July

As a parent, you’re going to be overprotective. All you care about is keeping your children safe so you are going to have a million questions about where they’re going, what time they’ll be home, and who they’re hanging out with. You will always have your nose in their business — but it’s out of love.

August

As a parent, you’re going to be spending a lot of money. After all, you want to spoil your children rotten. You want them to have everything they crave — and things they didn’t even realize they needed. You are always going to be buying new clothes and toys because you can’t help yourself.

September

As a parent, you’re going to be involved. You will want to help out at the school and any clubs that your children join. You will try your best to make friends with the other parents and teachers, and you’ll always volunteer to be a chaperone. You’ll want to spend as much time with your kid as possible.

October

As a parent, you’re going to be affectionate. You’ll want to tuck your child into bed every single night and read them bedtime stories. You’ll want to hug them before school, even if it’s in front of their friends. You’ll want to remind them that they’re loved every second of every day.

November

As a parent, you’re going to be pretty hands-off. At least, once your kids reach a certain age. After all, you trust that you raised them right. You trust that they know right from wrong and can make their own decisions. You aren’t going to baby them because you know they have a good head on their shoulders.

December

As a parent, you’re going to be strict. You are going to have a certain set of rules that your children must follow — and if they break those rules, there will be consequences. You won’t let them talk themselves out of trouble because you want them to learn discipline. You want them to understand their actions will have consequences.
