4 Zodiacs Finding Clarity In The Chaos This Week (When Mercury Stations Direct In Pisces)

This time of year is simultaneously joyous and stressful.

While we’re ushering in the astrological new year, making resolutions, and cleaning out everything that no longer serves us, we’re also preparing our taxes and shaking off the last twinges of seasonal affective disorder thanks to the occasional lingering grey day.

“April is the cruelest month,” wrote T.S. Eliot in his famous poem The Waste Land in 1922. He could easily have been writing about April 2025, which has been more precarious than usual thanks to the double influence of Mercury and Venus retrograde.

The messenger planet represents communication, which gets distorted during Mercury retrograde; the morning star, our romantic desires, which we are forced to reevaluate during Venus retrograde. That is to say, we’ve had an awful lot to learn about our love languages.

Mercury first stationed retrograde back on March 15, when it was at 9° Aries. By April 7, it will have progressed back to 26° Pisces, exactly conjunct the karmic North Node and very close to Saturn and retrograde Venus at 25° Pisces. The latter will go direct a few days from now, on April 12.

For now, though, the focus is on getting our thoughts and ideas reorganized as the cosmos brings everything back into focus. And the following four mutable rising signs, for all their adaptability, are likely to feel relief when Mercury stations direct, bringing clarity to the chaos.

Gemini

With Mercury no longer retrograde in your tenth house, any ongoing issues you’ve had in your professional life—spiteful bosses, vindictive coworkers, old drama resurfacing—are likely to be resolved. While the effects of these struggles may inevitably force you to undergo some deep self-reflection, and your standing in society may forever be changed, you will count it all joy. Sometimes we must be humbled in order to see the world with kinder eyes.

Virgo

It’s been a rough few weeks for your relationships, with Mercury retrograde in your seventh house. Now, you suddenly have a brighter and clearer sense of where you’re going, what you value, and who you wish to bring along with you. You must have faith and trust that whatever—or whoever—you lost during this disorganized period is not going to serve you in the next. Whether you ended a long-term relationship, reignited an old flame, or started a new fling, you will have more awareness about what you want out of serious relationships. Furthermore, your existing ones are only about to deepen, with spiritual and esoteric discussions enriching your time together.

Sagittarius

If your home and family life has felt out of sync for the past several weeks, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll fall into an easier and more constructive rhythm once Mercury stations direct in your fourth house. If you struggled to sell a property, lost an elderly relative, or struggled with your marriage during the past few weeks, the good news is that these obstacles—both large tragedies and small annoyances—have all been guiding you gently toward a more stable sense of self, both as an individual and a member of your family. You are not solely a daughter, sister, friend, wife, or mother—you are infinitely more, and each distinct facet of yourself is going to become more evident as you consider your true calling.

Pisces

As Mercury goes direct in your first house, you’ll feel distinctly more appreciated and understood. It’s probably felt, for the past several weeks, as though every word you say is deliberately misconstrued, taken out of context, or weaponized against you. Many of you have likely been victims of DARVO, watching as your vulnerability has been taken advantage of. If you were lured in by false promises or deceptive sweet nothings, there is nothing to be ashamed of. None of us are capable of discerning each and every person’s intention at all times. But you’ll be happy to know that from now on, the veil will be lifted.
