LEO

Leo thinks if they can dream it, they can be it. There is no hesitation, no doubt, no second-guessing at all. As a child they take their first wobbly but self-assured steps with no regard for the sharp corners in their vicinity, and try any and every food no matter how vibrant the color. In adolescence they expect to be discovered as a model every time they go to the mall and try out for every team expecting to make varsity. In adulthood they leave every interview expecting an invitation to run the company and assume every person they break up with was planning to propose. These lofty dreams protect them from any anxiety and disappointment, because even when they prove to be false, there is a newer, better opportunity ahead, even if it only exists in their inflated ego.

GEMINI

Gemini is constantly biting off more than they can chew. They truly see themselves as indestructible, and operating on a schedule that contains more than twenty-four hours in every day. If someone gives them a task to do, they accept it, with no consideration or consultation for the endless other waiting in a queue for completion. They toil on, day after day, burning the midnight oil with complete disregard for own well-being and lack of energy. They will run themselves ragged before they ever admit defeat, ignoring their under eye circles worsening caffeine addiction as long as they can keep crossing projects off of their to-do list. If only Gemini were better at recognizing their own limits and setting boundaries, they could set deadlines that allow them to take a breath and eat meals away from their keyboards.

ARIES

Aries will always speak their truth, even if prudence and propriety recommend a white lie in its stead. They feel entitled to every complaint, every protest, even if it’s perceived as unnecessary whining by others. There is something about their own personal injustices and minor inconveniences they feel must be recognized and addressed by the world. Instead of considering that someone may just be having a bad day, or may be dealing with their own struggles, Aries makes everything into a personal affront, and immediately pulls out a bullhorn in protest. By immediately assuming they are always in the right, and everyone else is always in the wrong, Aries confidence erases any room for nuance or complexity, and also lowers the trust people place in them. They worry that when the ride gets a little bumpy, Aries could turn it into a personal attack.

TAURUS

Taurus ascribes inherent virtue to their personal possessions. They live ‘the good life’ because they are a good person. Good people work hard, earn money, and buy good things, which in turn, allow you to work harder. Or so it goes in their own personal virtue system. They are so confident that they deserve everything they have, that they can be oblivious to the struggles of others. The other good people in the world who also work hard, but earn much less. The people who try to find work, but can’t. The way the system can and has been rigged to help some and deter others. If they did, they may open their eyes to the various ways in which they could use their resources to lift up others in their own community. The ways they could be an ever better person by caring for those around them.
