5 Zodiacs That Will Be Shocked By Romance This March-May Season (Spring ’23)

Ahh, beautiful springtime, the season of renewal. It’s when the dead of winter gives way to the blooming of life. Bees buzz, birds chirp, flowers blossom, and the sun finally comes out of hiding. It is also the season of passion, enchantment, and affairs of the heart. In the words of poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, “In the spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.”

The following five zodiac signs will all experience sudden shockwaves in their romantic lives this spring. Although it’s easy to get carried away by the thrills that new love can bring, they should proceed with caution. It’s easy to fall in love, but if you’re not careful, it’s also easy to fall off a cliff.

1. Aries

The astrological calendar begins every spring, and leading the pack every year is Aries. A fire sign (signaling passion), Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of eros and energy. Right at the beginning of spring this year, Venus—the planet of love and beauty—will pass through Aries. So it’s a passionate sign ruled by planets that govern sex and romance at the beginning of spring. Romance will wait around every corner for Aries this spring, breezing through the air like freshly unleashed pollen spores.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.

Maya Angelou, Aries | 4/4/1928

2. Libra

Just as night never lasts forever, neither does heartbreak. The sun eventually rises, and new love eventually finds the wayward heart. Although Libra may be disillusioned by past heartaches and embittered by romance gone sour, love has a way of sneaking into one’s life when one least expects it. This springtime, Libras don’t need to look for love, because when you look, it’s usually in all the wrong places. But at some point late this spring while you’re out somewhere shopping, filing paperwork, or even taking an aimless stroll, don’t be shocked if love tiptoes right up behind you, covers your eyes with its hands, and says, “Surprise!”

Oh my dear, I love you to the limits of speech, and beyond.

It’s strange that words are so inadequate.

Yet, like the asthmatic struggling for breath,

So the lover must struggle for words.

—T. S. Eliot, Libra | 9/26/1888

3. Sagittarius

A fire sign ruled by Jupiter, the planet of abundance, Sagittarians may find that their only romantic “problem” this spring is that there are too many flowers to pick. What this means is that, as the 1960s British band The Troggs sang, “Love Is All Around” them. But just as roses can come with thorns, love can also bring tremendous pain. While having numerous romantic options is a “problem” that many would envy, Sagittarians should listen to their brain as well as their heart and not fall for someone they know will be bad for them in the long run.

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,O
r help one fainting robinUnto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

Emily Dickson, Sagittarius | 12/10/1830

4. Capricorn

As the nights grow shorter and the air grows warmer, the earth sign Capricorn may feel this spring that their life has felt aimless and empty for far too long. This may finally mark the season where they meet their forever love—the one person who may not make their heart beat faster nor their head feel dizzy, but who makes them feel calm and grounded and finally understood. They may finally experience that one moment where everything around them becomes blurry and all they see are a pair of loving eyes staring into theirs.

We loved with a love that was more than love.

Edgar Allan Poe, Capricorn | 1/19/1809

5. Pisces

A water sign ruled by Neptune, Pisces is by nature a dreamer and a wanderer. They are romantically inclined, but sometimes romance carries with it too much tension, confusion, anger, and darkness to be sustainable. For Pisces, this spring may bring the end of a long-term romantic relationship that fizzles out due to the fact that it has become too heavy to be worth carrying around anymore. But as the days grow brighter and longer, there is a bright side to this—once freed from the shackles of heartbreak, Pisces may find fulfillment through a series of exciting, exhilarating, and entirely non-romantic sexual encounters.

Oh, come, my lad, or go, my lad,
And love me if you like!
I hardly hear the door shut
    Or the knocker strike.

Edna St. Vincent Millay, Pisces | 1/2/1892
