What To Expect This Sagittarius Season, According To Your Zodiac Sign

Sagittarius season is here, and it’s time to open our minds these next few weeks.

From November 22nd to December 21st, the Sun will be in the excitable, explorative fire sign, allowing us to let loose and explore the possibilities outside our comfort zones!

Sagittarius is a sign with a knack for expansion—even if it means kicking down doors to do it. However, the infectious, optimistic charm this sign holds means they usually don’t have to—they know how to be the life of the party, after all. That said, exploration is the name of the game. Two days into the season, actionable Mars will join the Sun in Sagittarius, giving a push to our visions these next few weeks. The Full Moon in Gemini on November 27th will kick things off by having us release previously held expectations and search for new forms of meaning. The Sagittarius New Moon taking place on December 12th gives us an opportunity to reassess and manifest some bigger, bolder passions and dreams for ourselves. The final Mercury retrograde of the season (in the sign of Capricorn) also begins on December 12th, making the latter half of this season more chaotic than usual—but it’s all about taking things in stride.

Check out your zodiac sign below (your Sun and Rising!) to see what you can expect for Sagittarius season!

Aries

Sagittarius season is lighting up your 9th House of Travel, Higher Education, and Philosophy—so it’s time to expand your mind in some notable ways. You may feel some restless energy regarding your goals and plans for the future, particularly if travel is involved, so make sure you aren’t getting too carried away and ignore your current reality. This will be challenged when the Full Moon in Gemini shows up in your 3rd House of Communication and Local Community, asking you to release old schools of thought and break out of your usual routines. Pursuing a thirst for knowledge in new subjects can be a huge benefit, and you have the motivation to see it through. When Mercury goes retrograde in your 10th House of Career, remember to double-check those emails and texts to ensure they are going to the right people—or that you aren’t running your mouth about ventures you can’t back up yet.

Taurus

Your intuition is tingling this season, Taurus. As the Sun (and later Mars) moves into your 8th House of Bonds and Shared Resources, you feel the immense urge to go deeper and take things to the next level in your connections. You may also feel the push to approach things from new angles, especially in spiritual or metaphysical manners, so don’t be afraid to explore new schools of thought here. The Full Moon in Gemini will shed some light on your personal values, and the results could lead you to reevaluate and release your death grip on them. The New Moon in Sagittarius will present a fresh start for newer paths to bond and explore intimacy, so keep your heart and mind open. When Mercury goes into retrograde in your 9th House, it’s good to remember that new journeys benefit from extra preparation, so take your time setting plans.

Gemini

Your relationships are front and center this season, Gemini. As The Sun and Mars move through your 7th House of Partnerships, it’s an ideal time to focus on the people you’re closest to. Romantic partners can benefit from your attention and your actions, so be sure they know how much they are valued, as well as learn to work even more seamlessly as a team. The Full Moon in your sign will shed some light on your old habits that you’ve taken into relationships that are worth putting to rest, while the New Moon gives a great chance for a reset. The Mercury retrograde can cause some confusion in areas of intimacy, but don’t worry—it’s all about taking things slowly and re-evaluating the issues before you jump to conclusions.

Cancer

Health and structure are a big priority for you this season, Cancer. As the Sun and Mars journey through your 6th House of Habits, Routines, and Wellness, it could be a good time to get in gear and create schedules to keep everything in line. From work projects to personal projects to exercise regimens, you have a vision for keeping things moving, which could fuel a productive few weeks. Remember that burnout is very real, so include breaks and time to rest. As the Full Moon in Gemini lights up your 12th House of Subconscious and Secrets, you could feel more introspective and need a break to recharge before the chaos begins. Eventually, when Mercury retrogrades in your 7th House of Partnerships, you could find that your relationships could feel shoved to the back burner as you focus on all these goals—take some time to reflect and talk it through rather than rushing into defensive mode.

Leo

It’s an exciting time of year for you, Leo, so get ready! The Sun and Mars will be moving through your 5th House of Creativity and Romance, which could turn up the heat and the inspiration a few notches. If you have a vision for some creative endeavors, lean into Mars’ energy to take action—even more during the New Moon as it gives the signal for a fresh start. When the Full Moon in Gemini shows up in your 11th House of Friendship and Networking, it could illuminate some connections that are more focused on getting ahead and supporting you, but the ones who do have your back will also become more apparent. When Mercury goes Retrograde in your 6th House, keep in mind that schedules are always subject to change—but it wouldn’t hurt to double-check your calendar more during this time to ensure you’re not mixing up any dates.

Virgo

Home is where your head and heart are this season, Virgo. As the holidays begin, this may feel truer than ever—the Sun and Mars will be in your 4th House of Home and Roots, meaning you could feel more inclined to stay at home (or even offer to host gatherings in your space) more than venturing out. The New Moon in Sagittarius will bring up some new ideas regarding your home life regarding design and past reflections on your childhood. The Full Moon in Gemini will shine some light on your 10th House of Career and Public Image, which could challenge the idea of getting ahead in work if it means sacrificing your family or home life. Weigh your options carefully before making any major decisions. When Mercury goes retrograde in your 5th House, keep an eye out for texts from an ex—especially if your family really liked them. A trip down memory lane isn’t always bad, but make sure you know what you’re getting into. The holidays have a way of creating rose-colored glasses, you know.

Libra

You may feel the pull to be more connected to your surroundings this season, Libra. With the Sun and Mars transiting your 3rd House of Communication and Local Community, your social butterfly side may be more prominent. Firing up the group texts and reconnecting with old friends could prove to be enlightening, and you could be the motivating factor that makes it possible. You may also feel restless and desire to be busy, getting actively involved in events around town. The New Moon in Sagittarius could serve as an open door to get more involved, and it’s worth taking. The Full Moon in Gemini will light up your 9th House of Travel and Higher Education, and your ideas of what else is out in the world could get a much-needed reality check as you recognize that your current place has a lot to offer you. It’s good to dream big and expand, but learning to love where you are is important, too. When Mercury goes retrograde in your 4th House of Home and Roots, there could be some tension in communicating with your family or those in your home: take a deep breath and remember that it’s not worth blowing up over a misunderstanding. Your diplomatic nature could be your best asset.

Scorpio

What do you value most, Scorpio? You’ll dwell on this quite a bit as the Sun and Mars move into your 2nd House of Income and Values. You spent your season focusing on who you are and what you want, and now it’s a good time to tap into the practical side of how that shows up. Getting budgets in line and thinking about what truly matters to you (and taking action to prove it) will happen over the next few weeks, especially when the New Moon shows up in the same house. When the Full Moon in Gemini appears in your 8th House of Shared Resources and Bonds, you can see the places you feel dependent on others (even unintentionally) and determine what connections are good to confide in and which you should untangle from. When Mercury goes Retrograde in your 3rd House, prepare for some major communication and technology malfunctions—if you can back up your tech and double-check your texts, you’ll be fine.

Sagittarius

It’s your season, Sagittarius! The life of the party is taking a moment to bask in the glow, and you should after your introspective turn during Scorpio season. As the Sun and Mars go through your 1st House of Self and Identity, it’s a great time to focus on how you want to show up in the world. You tend to keep a smile on your face no matter what you’re feeling, but it could be time to show your fullest self, even when it’s not entertaining. When the Full Moon appears in your 7th House of Partnerships, you could gain insight into who is willing to stick around for the long haul and who only wants to be close to you when you’re faking your happiness. When Mercury goes retrograde in your 2nd House of Income and Values, remember that treating yourself isn’t bad, but going wild with your expenses and not paying them any mind will land you in hot water quickly.

Capricorn

It’s time to take a breather, Capricorn. Despite the hectic holidays (and preparing for your season), you need to lean into the benefits of taking some alone time and sitting with your thoughts and emotions. Mars and the Sun in your 12th House of Subconscious and Secrets are prepared to help you see the things you’ve been repressing and avoiding so you can work through them, but that won’t make it easy. When the Full Moon shows up in your 6th House of Habits, Routines, and Wellness, you may notice just how unhealthy certain habits you’ve formed have become for your health—they are worth releasing. And yes, working yourself down to the bone isn’t as healthy as you want to tell yourself. Later, when Mercury retrogrades through your 1st House of Self and Identity, you may feel a bit misunderstood, especially when trying to communicate. Take a deep breath and remember that sometimes it’s best to step back and wait before making your move—when your season rolls around, you’ll have more confidence in how to proceed.

Aquarius

Your social circles are about to light up a little more, Aquarius. As the Sun and Mars move through your 11th House of Friendship and Networking, the holidays could provide the perfect excuse to get together with friends or attend some of those holiday work parties you tend to avoid. Connections are a big part of getting you where you want to go, and this season is your opportunity to shine if you’re willing. When the Full Moon shows up in your 5th House of Creativity and Romance, you could see a fling or a creative project come to its natural conclusion—it’s a little bittersweet, but it’s good to know that not everything can last forever. When Mercury retrogrades through your 10th House of Career and Public Image, be sure you’re not accidentally sending that fiery text message about your job to your boss or sending texts that you don’t want ending up on social media—it’s all fun and games until the world starts weighing in.

Pisces

Your career is commanding your focus this season, Pisces. With the Sun and Mars in your 10th House of Career and Public Image, your confidence levels in how you do your job are going way up—you know what you bring to the table, and you’re ready to go all in. When the Full Moon shows up in your 4th House of Home and Roots, it could bring up some emotions tying back to your home life, and it’s important to figure out that balance between being a team player and being there for the people who love you. When Mercury goes retrograde in your 9th House of Travel and Higher Education, double-check your travel plans and have backups ready, especially if you’re traveling far out of town. Things can get really chaotic and stressful if you aren’t prepared, so make a note to get everything in order beforehand.
