Taylor Swift — Bejeweled

Taylor Swift’s Birth Chart Explains Her Life All Too Well

Taylor Swift’s albums tell you a lot about her life, but her birth chart can tell you even more.

So here’s an analysis of her birth chart so you can get to know her all too well.

Taylor’s sun is in Sagittarius. Sagittariuses are extroverted, outgoing, and optimistic, which describes her pretty perfectly. If you’ve ever seen her in an interview, she’s super warm and engaging, and she loves making new friends with everyone she meets, including her fans—she even invites them over to her house to listen to her albums. (Have you ever heard of another celebrity who actually invites their fans over to their house?)

Her Sag sun is in her second house, which is the house of possessions, money, and earning. This makes total sense because she writes songs about her life to make a living, and as a celebrity, she herself is often the commodity.

Taylor’s moon in Cancer and her Scorpio rising make her super intense, and she feels everything really deeply, which probably comes as a surprise to no one who’s ever heard one of her songs.

As a Scorpio rising, she can be somewhat petty, too. Anyone remember “Better Than Revenge”? Or, like, most of the Reputation era? Or better yet, “But the punchline goes, I’ll get older, but your lovers stay my age.” Scorpios are often misunderstood, too, which is something Taylor has dealt with for most of her time in the public eye. Lots of people have called her fake for being “too nice,” and others have shamed her for dating too many people (most of whom she didn’t even date—they were only rumored).

Her mars is also conjunct with her rising sign, which means it’s right on top of it. Since mars rules Aries, this can sometimes give her an Aries rising quality, making her enthusiastic, passionate, and competitive. You don’t get to be the biggest pop star in the world without being at least a little competitive. Aries also know what they want, and they go after it — and they like to do it their way. Taylor always makes her music how she wants to make it, which is why each one of her albums sounds totally different.

The midheaven is the angle that indicates your career or your life purpose, and hers is in the 11th house, which is the house of community and groups. This makes perfect sense because planets in the 11th house are often seen in people who have a following (aka fans), and Taylor Swift definitely has a large following. Since her midheaven is in Virgo, its ruler is mercury, which is the planet of communication and information. And in her chart, mercury is in the house of communication. So basically, Taylor was made to be a songwriter and share her thoughts. Plus, Leo rules her career house, indicating that she does something involving creativity, self-expression, or performing for her career. As we know, she does all of those things.

Taylor obviously has an amazing gift for storytelling. Of course, we can see this in her chart, too. She has a bunch of planets in her third house (called a stellium), which is the house in your chart that indicates writing, expression, and communication. So with all those planets in that house, it means that she has a major focus on that area of her life. In her chart, her third house is ruled by Capricorn, which symbolizes hard work and dedication. Not only is she talented at songwriting, but she’s an incredibly hard worker—she writes and produces her songs and has control over everything she releases, from albums to music videos to concerts. Also she’s been working pretty much round the clock for the past year and a half putting out four albums.

And for some bonus synastry (which is seeing how people’s birth charts are compatible), her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn is a Pisces, which is the sign that rules Taylor’s house of romance. Fate. (JK, you have to look at someone’s whole chart for compatibility! But it is interesting, though.)

So basically, Taylor Swift was destined to be Taylor Swift.
