These 4 Zodiacs Will Thrive Under This Week’s New Moon In Taurus

We’re back again, friends—it’s time for another New Moon!

With the moon taking about 29 days (give or take) to complete a full cycle, we know that a new moon shows up about once a month. Astrologically, new moons are associated with a time of restarts and refreshes—new chances and new potential. New moons are often considered great times to refocus your priorities, make intentional lists and plans, and manifest what you’re hoping for during the next season.

On May 19th, the new moon will take place in the sign of Taurus, a sign that focuses on creating stability and remaining steadfast in the face of chaos and constant change. New moons are big about ushering in the new, which can sometimes go against Taurus’ fixed sign nature of wanting to remain comfortable. Nonetheless, this can also work in our favor as Taurus reminds us to be realistic and stay grounded as we try to chase our dreams and figure out our next steps.

This new moon has some positive energy, given that Jupiter, the planet of growth and abundance, also moved into Taurus earlier this week, which may give us an extra boost in what we want to achieve. Additionally, Mercury has also been in the sign of Taurus but just recently moved out of retrograde, bringing a little more ease to certain areas of life.

While the new moon had something to offer for all the zodiac signs, there are a few who may find themselves thriving a bit more than usual. Check out the signs below to see which four zodiac signs will likely be getting the most out of this new moon.

Taurus (All personal placements)

With the New Moon taking place in your 1st House of Self and Identity, it’s an ideal time for a reset, Taurus! With the moon in your sign, you have an excellent opportunity to embrace the version of yourself that you want to be and feel energized to step into that role. You may feel inspired to change your style, your habits, or the way you present yourself into the world. New moon energy is here to reenergize and potentially boost your confidence along the way, so don’t be afraid to manifest for what you want—it’s time to start a new chapter!

Scorpio (Rising)

It’s out with the old and in with the new—at least relationally, Scorpio. This new moon is taking place in your 7th House of Relationships, which is perfect for a refresh in your inner circle. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to get rid of current connections for new ones (though opening up your mind to some new people isn’t the worst thing in the world). However, the relationships you hold dear right now could use some extra attention, especially if things have been rocky or stagnant. This transit opens the door to new approaches and possibilities that are worth trying and will either lead to more satisfying relationships or a reality check of the friends/partners that want to hold you down.

Leo (Rising)

The spotlight is hitting you during this time, Leo! With the new moon appearing in your 10th House of Career and Public Image, this transit is serving as a refresh to how you’ve been approaching things. Career-wise, you’re ready to embark on a new journey, whether it’s a new project or position at your current place or a new job altogether. The good news is you have the confidence and push to focus on the bigger picture and get things done, but you’ll need to work on self-discipline to see things come to fruition. If you can manage that, though, then you’re going to be thriving professionally.

Capricorn (Rising)

If you’ve been feeling stuck creatively, this is a great period for you, Capricorn! The new moon is taking place in your 5th House of Romance and Creativity, which spells out the positive potential for you on a personal level. This particular house deals with how we express ourselves and the things we create and find pleasure in, and a new moon opens up the doors for new exploration into what that could mean for you. You may even feel more forward than usual when it comes to putting yourself out there, so don’t be afraid to feel yourself a little more rather than hiding in the shadows.
