This Is Your Permission To Finally Move On

Heartbreak can feel like the world ended. More specifically, your world. Endless clouds roll in, rain pours from your eyes, and no matter where you look, you can’t find the light.

The pain feels like a never-ending river. No matter how hard you try, you can’t keep your head above water. Wave after wave of suffering crashes onto you, making you gasp for air. Healing seems far out of reach.

When you do finally find your footing and catch your breath, your mind becomes a ticking clock, counting down the minutes until the next storm rolls in. All you want to do is scream into the void, hoping the darkness will take this feeling of heartbreak away. To spend another day like this is another day you can’t fathom facing.

Remember that no storm hangs around forever. It eventually lets the sun back into its life. You’re capable of doing the same.

You’ve felt this pain for long enough. Someone has unfairly imposed their hurt onto you and while it was never meant to be yours to carry, you must find it within yourself to heal.

I know it sounds difficult, but it’s time to move on. You don’t deserve this misery.

It’s okay to let go of that person. There’s nothing selfish about it; you’re doing what’s in your best interest, not theirs. From now on, choose yourself

Love isn’t given by only one person. It’s within you as it has been all along.

Turn that attention you gave to your former flame and give it to yourself. Gift yourself the time, dedication, care, and bottomless love you gave to them. When you learn to put yourself first, you will always feel loved and cared for.

You might’ve lost a relationship but everything you ever needed was there all along—you. This world might be scary to traverse alone but the best journeys are often the hardest ones.

Remember, you can do this. You can move on and give yourself the life you’ve dreamed of. You just have to take that first step toward healing.

This is your permission to finally move on.
