What Disney Villain Are You Based On Your Zodiac?

Ah, the dark side of Disney: plotting parent figures, scheming sycophants, evil enchantments. But this cast of characters we love to hate aren’t always all bad. Just like every sign in the zodiac, they’re as complex as they are conniving. 

So which bad guy would you be? Are you a cunning and ambitious Scorpio like Scar, or perhaps a mysterious and enigmatic Scorpio like Maleficent? Let’s see what Disney villain lurks within you based on your zodiac sign.

Aries: Scar

The Lion King

Bold, ambitious, and sometimes a little too confident, Aries mirrors the cunning nature of Scar. Like Scar, you might be willing to go to extremes to get what you want. Your natural leadership skills can inspire those around you; as long as it doesn’t inspire a mutiny, we’re sure you’re destined for much greater things than Simba’s unscrupulous uncle.

Taurus: Mother Gothel

Taureans are known for their prolific possessive streak, and it’s safe to say Mother Gothel’s obsession with Rapunzel’s magical hair checks this box. Driven by her vain desire for eternal youth, Mother Gothel embodies the Taurus tendency for jealousy and selfishness as she keeps Rapunzel locked away year after year. Unlike this fast-aging femme fatale, we know you’d never make off with a maiden fair to make your wildest dreams come true.

Gemini: Jafar

Aladdin

Moody, brooding Geminis remind us of Jafar’s scheming nature. This advisor to the sultan likes to snoop around almost as much as he and his sarcastic parrot companion enjoy bending others to their will. Like Jaraf, your cunning mind is always working full steam ahead, and if you’re not careful you might just get carried away with ambitious plans and find yourself stuck in a tight spot.

Cancer: Ursula

The Little Mermaid

Like Ursula, Cancers are sensitive rebels. They’re extremely temperamental and have been known to hold grudges, like the one between King Triton and his estranged sister. Ursula’s bitter streak and masterful manipulation of Ariel might look familiar to you if you’ve ever had someone to smite. Yet, like any Cancer, we see Ursula incredibly protective of those she cares about. Remember her wrath when Flotsam and Jetsam get fricasseed in the final fight scene? We know we’d want that kind of passion in our corner.

Leo: Gaston

Beauty and the Beast

Proud, dramatic, and absolutely addicted to the spotlight, Leos channel Gaston’s larger-than-life ego. We think every Leo can relate to this hunky hunter’s addiction to admiration and have dabbled, if just a little, in his domineering demeanor. Jealousy drove Gaston to pull out all the stops against Belle’s unlikely love interest, resorting to deceit and trickery to best his beastly revival. You might, like this evil Alpha, be a little too focused on appearances and hyper-focused on winning, but your fierce loyalty and charisma are admirable traits.

Virgo: The Evil Queen

Snow White

Virgos are perfectionists with a keen eye for detail, which is why we think the Evil Queen is an apt comparison. This villain’s obsession with being the fairest holds a mirror up 一 pun intended 一 to a classic Virgo pitfall, perfectionism. And we’re sure you can relate to the secrecy and bottled rage the meanest queen kept up, biding her time to snuff out her most-fair heir. Still, your dedication and analytical mind can be used for great good! Try to take a page out of the book of Arendelle’s ice princess, Elsa 一 if someone or something is stuck under your skin, learn to let it go, let it go!

Libra: Maleficent

Sleeping Beauty

Normally, Libras are all about balance and diplomacy. However, like Maleficent, they can also hold one hell of a grudge. When Maleficent is scorned by King Stefan, she places a devastating curse on his newborn baby girl. Maleficent’s hex is the ultimate act of judgment and revenge 一 just goes to show what can go wrong when you mess with the normally even-tempered Libran. We’re sure you’re a tad more forgiving than this feisty fairy.

Scorpio: Hades

Intense, mysterious, and a bit sarcastic, Scorpios have a lot in common with the fiery Lord of the Underworld. We see the Scorpio penchant for possessiveness in Hades’ too, as well as this sign’s hot tempers and desire to control others. Cut yourself some slack, though. Scorpios may be prone to moments of brooding darkness, but their loyalty and passion runs deep. 

Sagittarius: Yzma

The Emperor’s New Groove

Yzma is all over the place 一 she’s hilarious, malicious, diabolical and obsessive. That’s why this Disney villain reminds us of the impulsive, humorous, and sometimes inconsistent personality of the Sag. And, just like the Sagittarius, we see Yzma being blunt and impatient with her bumbling sidekick Kronk. Just remember to keep your schemes focused more on having a good time and less on world domination, and you’re sure to be rewarded with a far better fate. 

Capricorn: Cruella de Vil

101 Dalmatians

Cruella’s single-minded obsession with creating the perfect Dalmatian fur coat speaks to Capricorn’s materialistic nature. But it’s not just that. Like the Cap, she is never satisfied 一 she stole over 100 puppies in order to make a single coat, after all. And when those 101 pups managed to escape her clutches, Cruella stubbornly carried on with her dognapping scheme. She probably could have spared Perdita and Pongo’s litter, but, like the Capricorn, Cruella cannot forgive those who trespass against her. 

Aquarius: Dr. Facilier

The Princess and the Frog

Like any good Aquarian, Dr. Facilier seems to be a humanitarian 一 at first glance, anyway. His magic is powerful, and, like this water sign, he is charming and mysterious. The offers he makes seem to be a win-win-win scenario. But he also hides his true intentions and makes unpredictable moves that ultimately do everyone more harm than good. Eventually, like Aquarius, Dr. Facilier goes to greater and greater extremes to get what he wants. 

Pisces: Claude Frollo

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Pisces are empathetic and intuitive, but they can be easily swayed by strong emotions. Frollo, while self-righteous, falls into deep despair and cruelty, mirroring the potential dark path of a Pisces.  Their tendency towards escapism could align with Frollo’s unhealthy obsession. Your compassion, however, can also be your greatest strength. Like the waters that symbolize your sign, your empathy can flow and adapt, leading to a true understanding of others.
