The Blessings In Disguise That You Aren’t Seeing Right Now (Astrology + Tarot Reading)

Aries

Your Cards: Nine of Pentacles & Three of Cups

The Nine of Pentacles indicates some sort of frustration you’re feeling with finances or work, Aries. I get the sense that in the recent past, you were moving at a steady upward trajectory that has since stagnated. And since that stagnation had begun, you feel like you’re unable to move forward no matter what you do. It’s this feeling that something is always out of reach. Even when you feel like you’re on the verge of advancing or “graduating” to the next phase, like you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, the goalpost moves further back. There’s this feeling of no matter how much you put in, you still get nothing back.

However, with the Three of Cups, what you aren’t seeing is that you’re going to get exactly what you’re giving. Even though it might not seem or feel like it, you absolutely will. The Three of Cups represents abundance which is a good sign regarding your situation. I think what you don’t understand is that things are never going to go completely according to plan. But that’s okay because all these experiences and skills that you’re building for yourself, are going to help prepare you for the moment it all comes together. It’s better this way. It’s better that you’re prepared for the chance you’ve been hoping for, rather than getting it prematurely and blowing it because you weren’t ready for it. Had you achieved what you wanted to when you wanted to, you would’ve blown it. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it’s true. That’s why a lot of people who attain overnight success, lose it just as quickly because they hadn’t put in the time building up the necessary skills that would’ve helped them maintain that success. So don’t worry about what everybody else is doing or where they’re going. Your time is going to come. And instead of it being a slow gradual crawl to the top, it’ll happen all at once. All that you were owed will come at once.

Taurus

Your Card: Nine of Swords & King of Cups

The Nine of Swords represents anxiety, insecurity, and mental instability. A lot of this turmoil tends to stem from the subconscious thus making it harder to decipher the source or cause of this instability. With that said, I get the sense that this has a lot to do with a certain romantic connection. It could also relate to a close friendship or certain family member but for most of you, it will relate to romance. Intense relationships have this uncanny ability to reveal parts of ourselves that we not only hide from others but hide from ourselves. It seems that you’re having trouble trusting your intuition and your judgement is being crowded by the intensity of your feelings for that person. I have a feeling you two might be in the middle of some sort of stressful turmoil are you might have just broken up or had some sort of falling out that is triggering this anxiety. The Nine of Swords represents all the things that keep us up at night. Maybe you feel stuck running through potential mistakes you made to disrupt the relationship and are blaming yourself. You might be wishing you handled things differently. And while it may be hard to even fathom the idea that this is a huge blessing in disguise, the King of Cups begs to differ.

The King of Cups is telling you that none of this is your fault. The source of your anxiety is not the result of some sort of intense guilt, the source of your anxiety and mental anguish is the result of your intuition SCREAMING at you to stay away from that person. That they’re not right for you. That something about the dynamic the two of you share is destructive, not constructive. I’m not trying to say that they’re the bad guy or that anybody is to blame, sometimes two people just don’t work, and that’s it. You might not think so now, but you will heal from this. You will move on. And this will all be a distant memory that you feel indifferent towards (though it’s incredibly real and intense right now.) This too shall pass, Taurus. And one day you’ll thank the universe that it didn’t work out. The dramatic fallout and end of this relationship will be one of the best things that ever happened to you because you’ll find what you deserve instead. And when you do, you’ll be so grateful things didn’t work out before.

Gemini

Your Card: Eight of Swords & The Sun

You might be facing some sort of rejection right now, Gemini. Perhaps you’re experiencing a breakup, maybe you didn’t get the job that you were hoping for, or maybe you just got fired from your job. Whatever it is, the Eight of Swords indicates that it is a situation that despite your best efforts, is what it is. And though you might be feeling like it’s the end of the road and that everything that mattered to you was taken away, The Sun card says otherwise. What you thought you wanted, wasn’t what you needed. You wouldn’t have walked away from this toxic dynamic on your own. Unfortunately, you needed to be harshly rejected in order to put a hard stop to the situation. And thank goodness that happened because there is so much more abundance and opportunities that await. You might have thought that you were happier before. That life would’ve been perfect had things worked out the way that you wanted, but The Sun card indicates that this was a lie. You were never happy where you were before. It wasn’t at all what you truly wanted or needed. You only thought that was the case because you were operating in this scarcity mindset. Prepare for the best, Gemini. Because soon, you’ll know what true fulfillment is.

Cancer

Your Card: Judgement & Ace of Cups

The truth will set you free, Cancer. The Judgement card indicates that there is something that you have been holding on to that you need to let go of. Perhaps there is a secret you have been hiding and you fear it will hurt the other person or result in a situation that can’t be fixed. I don’t know what you did, but most things can be fixed. And it seems that this particular problem is one of those situations that can be fixed.

I think your fear to come clean has less to do with what you think their reaction might be and has more to do with you fearing confrontation to some degree. Finally facing these fears and speaking your truth will help you to feel lighter and happier. I think you’re judging yourself more than the other person involved is. What you’re not seeing is that you’re blowing this situation way out of proportion. And once you finally get it off your chest, not only will that weight finally be lifted, but you’ll see that it was never a big deal to begin with. This situation is a huge blessing because although you fear the potential fallout or issues it may cause, the complete opposite will most likely occur. If anything, finally coming clean will only strengthen the relationship.

Leo

Your Card: Seven of Wands & Ten of Cups

With the Seven of Wands, I get the sense that there was something in your life that you cared deeply about. Something that you fought day and night for. Something that you thought that if you didn’t win it, you’d never recover or find something better. This could be about a certain ex-partner or a current relationship that is on the rocks. This could be about a promotion that you want or a job that you’ve been working towards. Whatever this thing is, it is something that you currently don’t have and deeply want to have. But the Seven of Wands is a reminder that the more we desire something, the more desperate we are for a certain outcome, the more we repel it.

Here is the really good news now. The Ten of Cups represents wish fulfillment. It’s a very positive card and one of the best to receive in a reading. With that said, your efforts haven’t gone to waste. Nothing you did was in vain. You’re not seeing it just yet but what you will receive is more than what you hoped for. The only caveat is that it’ll be very different from what you want right now. Because you’re currently obsessed with the idea of this thing and not necessarily the reality of it. Perhaps it’ll be a different career path. A different romantic interest, someone that you weren’t interested in, to begin with, but grow to love over time and come to find out there the best partner you could ask for. If you’re reading and feeling somewhat disappointed over the idea that you didn’t get exactly what you set out to win or attain, rest assured that once this wish does come true, you’ll be anything but disappointed. What is coming is far more in alignment with you and will lead you down a path toward greater satisfaction and feelings of intense fulfillment. As The Rolling Stones song goes, “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you’ll find you get what you need.” Trust in that and you will not be disappointed at all.

Virgo

Your Card: The Devil & Page of Swords

The Devil card indicates you have become a victim of your own circumstances, Virgo. I’m not trying to sound mean or judgmental because we all go through moments like this more or less. You’ve become a slave to your own desires and shallow needs hoping to fill some type of void that can’t be filled with quick fixes of dopamine. You might be in a place where you’ve pushed away the people that you’ve cared about or have found yourself in a spot where you don’t like the person you’ve become. Though it’s not fun to get to that point, it is integral for us because in those moments it allows us to look in the mirror and see what the problem has been all along. I get the sense that there is one specific thing that you are struggling with. Perhaps a dependence on substances, or a dependence on your romantic partner. And as time passes, you are becoming more and more aware of its destructive nature. And while it is difficult to break the cycle, you will come to realize that this was a huge blessing in disguise. Why? Because once you finally learn how to improve upon this one vice and break the addiction cycle, you’ll knowledge to identify other toxic cycles that you weren’t even aware of, as well as the strength to break them. Knowing that if you could break one cycle, you can break the rest.

This is especially indicated by the Page of Swords which represents truth, clarity, and directness. You are seeing the issue clearly and will know exactly what needs to be done in order to better the situation. The issue isn’t that there is something wrong with you or that you’re weak, you just never had the right approach or mindset in the past. Now that you do, breaking away will no longer be this painful scary thing, but rather something liberating and euphoric. The blessing in disguise is that through understanding the power of this vice, you’ll understand how to make the right choices not just now, but for the rest of your life.

Libra

Your Card: Ten of Swords & Two of Swords

If it feels like nothing is going right. Like every turn you take and decision, you make is leading you down a spiral of letdowns and setback after setback, that’s because it was meant to be this way. The Ten of Swords represents a moment or period of devastation, loss, and reaching rock bottom. Typically this card represents pain caused by multiple areas of our life. A collapse in personal life, professional life, and love life. And it’s hard. It’s hard enough to experience setbacks in one area of life but in all areas of life at once is not easy. You might be trying desperately to solve all or one of these issues, hoping for some sort of relief. Some sort of indication from the universe that things will finally start to get better. The bad news is that they won’t get better. At least not for right now. You may experience a few more blows but the good news is that you can get through it, and you will get through it. I know this for a fact because the Two of Wands represents a turning point. Not one that comes from outside, but a turning point that comes from within.

The blessing in disguise that you have yet to finally see is that only from this vantage point of defeat will you be able to see the path forward. Some sort of financial setback or personal relationship conflict will result in a complete shift of your mindset, Libra. When we have our backs against the wall and are running out of options, that’s when we come up with the best solutions. Solutions we wouldn’t have thought of had we not been in this dire situation. You were meant to transform. You were meant to live a life that isn’t this. As you walk down this new path, you will realize that those setbacks you endured were for the best because you’ll be living a life you wouldn’t have led had it not been for the lows.

Scorpio

Your Card: Four of Cups & Justice

The Four of Cups gives me the inkling that incredibly unfair has happened, Scorpio. Some sort of injustice that you may not even be fully aware of. Perhaps behind the scenes, without your knowing, some sort of opportunity that was rightfully yours had been stolen from you or taken away from you. Leaving you with limited options at your disposal making you think that you’ve gained something even though you’ve been a victim of theft. There is this illusion here. This is the best way I can describe your current situation and mindset. Imagine that a hundred dollars has been stolen from you without your knowledge. And then the person who stole it from you offers to give you twenty dollars. You’re now thinking, “Oh this great, I just gained twenty dollars.” Not realizing that they haven’t given you anything, they’ve just stolen eighty. That’s how I would describe the current situation. And you might honestly be aware of this discrepancy and unequal treatment but don’t want to fully acknowledge it because the person or people or system that did it to you, were people you trusted.

This is the blessing in disguise you aren’t seeing. Don’t feel as if you must retaliate and demand what is yours back. Even though it is rightfully owed to you. Don’t worry about it. The universe or whatever external situations will take care of that for you. The trash is going to take itself out. And the truth will be completely revealed to you. As a result, you will gain back much more than what was taken. The Justice card represents balance and fairness. And it is also a reminder that what we give and put out (whether positive or negative) we always get back times three. Take the high road. It may feel like you’re surrendering right now by remaining above the bullshit, but Justice promises that the cleaner you keep your hands, the better. People with bad intentions can never keep their own hands clean, and eventually, the truth is always revealed.

Sagittarius

Your Card: Five of Cups & Ten of Wands

It seems with you’re reading, you’ve already received the blessings yet are choosing to ignore them and focus on what has been lost. The Five of Cups depicts a person who is sadly staring at cups that have fallen over and spilled, meanwhile behind him are several cups still upright and filled. Whereas the Ten of Wands can represent the weight of responsibility we carry when we finally achieve the position in life that we had worked towards. With that said, these two cards signal to me that though you’ve gotten what you wanted, you feel like something is still missing. Like there is still more that you must achieve or gain to finally feel fulfilled and satisfied with this life that you have made Sagittarius. There is something in your life that you are taking for granted. Something that you do not appreciate enough. It seems that while your circumstances have evolved and changed to better suit the life that you’ve wanted, you remain in the past where you were constantly running toward something. Constantly working or moving towards something in the distance. And now that you’ve finally gotten to that place, you’re still in this mindset of chasing. Don’t miss out on the life you have now. In life, we convince ourselves happiness is a goal post that is continuously just out of our reach. You have everything now and it would be a shame for you to miss out on it, such as the ways of your sign. You’re adventurous, free-spirited, and are always on the hunt for what’s next. However, what’s next is enjoying what is now. Why go looking for better if you already have it?

Capricorn

Your Card: The Hermit & The Fool

I think you’ve been in hiding, Capricorn. Keeping mostly to yourself. Retreating as much as you possibly can from life and the world around you. Keeping your head buried in your own business. Doing your absolute best to be seen as little as possible. And while for the most part, you don’t mind the quiet and the peace that comes with isolation, there seems to still be a part of you that wants to come out of hiding and return to the same life that you were living before. But what you need to understand is that the life you were living before is over. You can never go back. The negative people you may have left behind and the toxic situations that you tried to forget need to stay where you left them. Don’t think you’re missing out on life, or there’s something wrong with you for taking some time away. Maybe you’ve taken a break from dating and although it’s nice not to worry about playing games, you are still longing for love and for someone to be there, even if that someone was no good for you.

But The Fool card is a clear indicator that something new is coming. A journey that you have yet to experience. Life has so much more to offer you. The version of yourself that existed in the past you miss would never survive in the world that you are about to enter next. No time was wasted in solitude, it was time well spent. That time was essential for personal growth. Sometimes to get the life that we want, we have to let go of all that we had. It’s hard at first, but it’s worth it. In the meantime, continue savoring this peace as long as you can. Quiet the noise and listen to your intuition. Learn how to trust it better. What lies ahead is a life you wouldn’t have been ready for had it not been for this time of reflection. You are growing in ways other people don’t have the time and freedom to grow in because life is always requiring their constant attention. For now, take advantage of what little time you have left before things start to get chaotic again.

Aquarius

Your Card: King of Swords & The Hierophant

You might have said some things to someone that you can’t take back and now you’re regretting it, Aquarius. These words could have been to your boss, a friend, your partner, or a family member. Whoever it is, they might have pushed you to a point where you felt like you couldn’t keep your mouth shut and had to say what needed to be said. Now, as a result, they’ve taken your words and are using them against you. Causing more problems when you’re intention was merely just to solve problems. Don’t feel bad for what needs to be said. If anything, you were just saying what everyone around you was already thinking. If that person took them the wrong way then that’s more on them. You shouldn’t have to tiptoe around someone else’s feelings at the cost of your sanity. What you’re not seeing right now is that the words you wished you could take back are going to have a very positive effect later on. Maybe you stood up to injustice and stopped taking shit. Good. It needed to be done.

The blessing you don’t see is that now you are going to be perceived as someone strong, who commands respect, and who doesn’t take shit. The Hierophant represents a leader who uses their voice in a way to articulate thoughts and ideas eloquently and respectfully. But for those positive effects to take place, you have to stand by what you said and don’t back down. Don’t let whoever bully you or make you feel intimidated. Don’t let them twist your words and make you out to be someone that you’re not. You have a grip on the truth and so stick to that. Don’t think life would’ve been better if you had just kept your mouth shut because that isn’t the truth at all. There may be some drama or falling out that takes place shortly, but it’s nothing you’ll ever have to look back on and regret. If anything you’ll look back and feel proud of yourself for saying what needed to be said. Your words are seeds that are sprouting in the minds of others that will lead to great and much-needed change

Pisces

Your Card: Five of Swords & Hanged Man

You might be feeling a bit outcasted right now because of a situation regarding a certain friend group, working environment, or family dynamic. The Five of Wands indicates that someone (or several people) that you thought you could trust has taken advantage of your kindness and has stabbed you in the back when you weren’t looking. As a result of their deception others around you may start to see you in a negative light even though the rumors going around aren’t even true. This could have happened very recently, or this may have occurred some time ago and is still bothering you.

I know it sucks feeling outcasted and socially isolated while people run around projecting their misdoings onto you, but the blessing you aren’t seeing is that now you’re free from this dynamic. Now you know who to stay away from. Now you can better discern between who is fake and who is real. Don’t worry about getting caught up in it all. Don’t feel like you have to go around telling your side of the story to clear your name. The Hanged Man signifies the need to take a step back. Less is more. And saying nothing will do ALL of the talking for you. Those that care about you will make themselves known and those that were never real friends or people you could trust to begin with will weed themselves out. Though the Five of Swords is associated with betrayal and misinformation, the positive side of this card represents one’s name being cleared. Take the high road, take a step back and the trash will take itself out for you. In the end not only will your name be cleared, but you’ll find yourself surrounded and supported by people that you can trust. What’s the point in keeping bad company around anyway? That company you kept around is the same group of people that caused you problem after problem whether you realized it or not. Some people feed off of toxicity and drama and need to suck others into it with them. With this distance away from this sort of negative energy, you’ll find yourself more at peace and your emotional and mental energy will be more centered on what matters. You. That is the blessing you’re not seeing. You can’t control what others do or say or how they react, but you can control how you handle it. And this will be the thing that results in the blessings that have yet to come.
