This Is Your Goddess For Protection, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Every Zodiac has a special God or Goddess that is most aligned with them and who they can seek to connect with for extra protection. Here is yours, based on your zodiac sign.

Aries

It’s a no-brainer that your God of protection would be your similar-sounding namesake, Ares, the God of war. In times of turmoil and mental battles, you can connect with Ares to keep you strong during adversity and to shield you from harm. To invoke Ares to guide you, connect with your inner warrior and meditate on the conflict you’re hoping to seek resolution in.

Scorpio

You can take your pick, Scorpio: you align with both Demeter and Hades. Demeter’s control over the seasons is deeply connected to your own cycles of rebirth and transformation. The dominion Hades holds over the underworld is representative of the shadow work you often engage in to powerfully manifest your dreams. Create a sacred altar with offerings like fresh fruit, cinnamon, and flowers for Demeter to reap your harvest of blessings and protection.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius, you are as strong and independent as Artemis, Goddess of “the hunt,” archery, and the forests who famously turned a hunter that spied on her into a stag, then sent her hunting dogs after him. Talk about feisty! Both of you are equipped with bow and arrow and leave a fiery mark. To invoke protection from Artemis, you can create an altar with wine, honey, walnuts, or symbols of bows and arrows and moon shaped items. To honor her, you might dance under the full moon, or meditate in the forest.

Libra

Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty, or Venus as she is affectionately known in Roman mythology, is calling to you, Libra. Ruled by the planet Venus, you’re also known for your supernaturally irresistible beauty and charm. You bring much needed balance to the world, and you deserve protection and justice in return. Create an altar for Aphrodite with beautiful pink, red or white candles, incense, roses, or chocolate. Invoke her protection with self-love, writing love letters, or prayer.

Pisces

Poseidon, God of the sea (or known in Roman mythology as Neptune) makes sense to invoke protection for Neptune-ruled water sign Pisces. An altar for Poseidon may include water from the ocean, blue or green colored candles, Myrrh or Frankincense incense, sea shells, or sea salt.

Leo

You can invoke mighty protection from the “God of all Gods,” Zeus, who not only rules over the weather, but also destiny and fate. Much like Zeus, your authority, royalty, and power are infinite. Offer an altar to Zeus filled with milk, red meat, whisky, or wine for protection. Invoke his name during thunderstorms.

Cancer

Although Artemis is seen as your ruler, Cancer, you fare well by calling for the protection of the Goddess Hera who rules over marriage, childbirth, and serves as a protector of women. Hera will bring justice to those who wronged you and also allow you to remain receptive to both love and abundance. Woo Hera at your altar with homemade sweets or breads, lilies, white roses, poems or photos of you and your lover.

Gemini

Castor and Pollux are the twin half-brothers of Greek mythology which make them perfect protector Gods for you, Gemini. To invoke their protection, pray toward a statue or picture of these Gods or burn yellow and blue candles. Say positive affirmations twice to honor each brother.

Aquarius

Cronus (also known as Saturn) can help protect you in times of need, Aquarius. As the God of sowing or seed in Roman mythology, and the leader of the first generation of Titans in Greek mythology, he is the perfect God to have by your side as you sow ideas for a new and inventive world with your vision. Bring your ideas to harvest by offering dark fruits, spices, black candles, or using black obsidian crystals at your altar for Cronus.

Taurus

Taurus, your Greek Goddess of protection is Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and the home. Perfect for a grounded earth sign. You may opt to offer sweet wine, blazing candles, homemade baked goods, hot tea, or pictures of you and the loved ones you wish to protect at your altar. You may also choose to meditate by a fireplace or a fire in the great outdoors to connect to Hestia in your times of need.

Virgo

Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare can be a powerful source of protection and sage insight during times of plight. Honor her with an altar of seeds, owl feathers, olive oil, honey, or cast reconciliation spells in her name to provide extra protection to your closest relationships.

Capricorn

Prometheus may be the God of fire, but his ability to defy the Gods to steal fire and create humans, planning and thinking ahead to create revolutionary results, are aligned with your hard-working and rebellious nature, Capricorn. In times when you need protection, especially from authority that is inflicting injustice or limits upon you, create an altar for Prometheus or invoke his name. You may burn incense while going into deep meditation or offer bread and meats at his altar.
