10 Fun Wordle Spinoffs To Play Today (For Free!)

Wordle has been popular for a while now. So popular that it was even purchased by the New York Times and is now available to play on their website. If you’ve been enjoying this game as much as everyone else on the internet, here are some other spinoff versions you can play for free today!

Quordle – This game is exactly like Wordle — except instead of figuring out a single word, you’re figuring out four different words at the same exact time. You’ll have to alter your original Wordle strategy when you play this version because finding the answer to one puzzle isn’t enough. You need to solve all four of them before your chances are up.

Dordle – This game is pretty similar to Quordle except you only have to solve two puzzles this time. You might want to start with this version, then work your way up to the other.

Taylordle – This is a version of Wordle built for the most die-hearted Taylor Swift fans. Every single word is going to relate to Taylor in some way. Maybe the word will be an album title or a relevant name that relates to the famous singer. Either way, they are all words that are part of the Swiftie universe.

Lewdle – Have you ever tried to insert a dirty word into Wordle, only to realize it’s not found in their dictionary? Well, that won’t happen when you play this game. After all, this version of Wordle only uses naughty words. So make sure to think your most inappropriate thoughts.

Queerdle – This version of Wordle honors the LGBTQ+ community. Every word relates to the queer community in some way. However, this version alternates between words that are four to eight letters in length.

Star Wordle – If you’re a huge Star Wars fan, this is the game for you. It’s just like the original Wordle, except the answers are all related to the Star Wars universe.

Primel – Instead of using letters to solve the puzzle, this version involves numbers. Each time, you’re going to have to figure out the correct combination of five-digit numbers. You’re going to want to skip this one if you aren’t great at math because it requires some thinking.

Sweardle – This version of the game always ends with a swear word. Since there are a lot less choices to pick from, you only get four guesses. And the words are four letter words, since most of your favorite curse words consist of four letters. Like the instructions say: you only have four tries, so don’t fuck it up.

Absurdle – This game doesn’t start with a singular answer. Instead, it uses the player’s guesses to narrow its list of words to make the game last a long period of time. Confused? That’s partially the point. And why it’s called absurdle.

My Wordle – If you want to pretend you’re a game designer, you can open up this version of Wordle. It allows you to create your own answer to the game. Then you can send the shareable link to your friends and see if they can solve it!
