6 Signs She’s Emotionally Checking Out Of The Relationship

It has been said before that a woman will leave a relationship emotionally before she exits it officially. Here are six signs she’s emotionally checking out of the relationship.

1. She has started avoiding conflict (even if something clearly bothered her).

While she has always be someone to speak her mind and stand her ground, lately she hasn’t seemed to have much to say at all. In fact, even if you do something that would usually frustrate her, she tends to just ignore it now. It’s almost as if she doesn’t see the point in addressing the issue because it won’t really matter in the long-run.

2. She’s spending more time than usual with her friends and family.

Her friends and family have always been an important part of her life, but lately she seems to always put them before you and your relationship. She has stopped initiating plans with you or is always declining your invites to date nights because she already has something on the books.

3. She isn’t interested in being physical as often.

In other words, sex and other types of intimacy is pretty much off the table. She’s just rarely in the mood anymore. In addition to emotional closeness, it feels as though you’ve lost your physical connection, too.

4. She always seems distracted when you’re together.

Even if you’re sitting inches away from each other on the couch, it’s like she’s 100 miles away. She never seems to be fully present when you’re together because she’s either on her phone or lost in thought.

5. Your conversations are starting to lack in depth.

Everything is surface level. Her day is always “fine.” Work is “fine.” Her parents are “fine.” It’s been really difficult to get her to open up and dig deeper.

6. She just isn’t acting like herself.

Basically, something just feels off between you both. She’s starting to feel more like a stranger, and not your person.

If you’re afraid your girlfriend is beginning to emotionally check out of your relationship, make sure to talk to her and see if you can resolve things. Communication is everything, and you need to show her you care before it’s too late.
