Whether Or Not They’ll Text You Back, Based On Their Zodiac Sign

Aries

Though Aries is a busy individual, they’re also impulsive and don’t mind being distracted from their work by a quick text message. If they’re interested in what you have to say, you can guarantee you’ll get a fast response from them. Otherwise, they might show you they’re not that invested in you if they take forever to get back to you. With that being said, keep in mind that Aries does often have a busy schedule – if they let you know they’re away from their phone for something important, don’t expect to hear back from them until they’re finished.

Taurus

Taurus signs typically love getting text messages, although it will depend on the Taurus individual. They prioritize a routine most; if you’re used to getting good morning or good night texts from them, they’ll definitely want to keep this up with you. But if you never established a good texting rapport in the first place, don’t expect much from them. As a way of providing a little extra comfort and stability to the relationship, Taurus typically enjoys texting frequently, though, even if it’s just mundane updates – but they are a slow texter, so be patient!

Gemini

Geminis are usually big on texting. They’re a social individual, so they need to be able to keep up with everyone in their many friend groups – especially since they usually won’t have time in their schedule to have a full check-in with everyone each day. If you’re important to them, they’ll always respond to your notifications. If they’re uncertain about you, though, you may fall to the wayside. Take it as a good sign if you’re receiving daily (or more frequent) texts from them. Don’t be stressed if your text doesn’t get an immediate response, either – their schedules are typically filled to the brim.

Cancer

Cancers are big on emotional relationships. If they’re not texting you frequently, it’s either because they don’t consider you a close connection…or they just prefer phone calls. Cancer can sometimes be a slow texter, though, as they’re prone to overthinking and may want to take extra time when writing out their response.

Leo

Leos are the most variable sign when it comes to texting. They may enjoy receiving attention from your texts, or they may prefer to communicate in person. Some Leos don’t find text messages to be interesting enough as a form of communication, so don’t be surprised if a Leo is extremely into you in person but can’t hold a good conversation over text. Other Leos, however, will come off strong whether they’re talking to you in real life or online. They’re not always consistent, either – in-person communication is key if you’re worried.

Virgo

Virgos are detail-oriented and are good communicators. If you’ve been texting them with interesting conversation topics and updates, they’ll be likely to respond to you. They’ll also initiate conversations regularly with things they want to talk to you about or think you’d like. But Virgos don’t usually participate much in dry texting – if you’re only asking them how they’re doing or sending them a quick goodnight text, you’re probably losing their interest.

Libra

Libras are social individuals, but they do tend to prefer in-person communication to online. You’ll find that Libra can have trouble when it comes to miscommunication or confrontation, so they may prefer to avoid you entirely if they sense conflict brewing (especially over text message, where communication is frequent). If they’re not texting you back, they’re either dealing with a miscommunication issue or they’re just not that interested in you. Multiple unread texts with a Libra is rarely a good sign, though.

Scorpio

Scorpios usually take time to reply to text messages – you may feel like you’re never online at the same time as them. But as your relationship continues, you’ll receive more and more opportunities to talk to them via text. Scorpio prefers to ramp up communication style slowly. But they will talk to you semi-regularly if they’re interested in you, so they should text you back within a day or two. 

Sagittarius

Sagittarius is either totally invested or off in their own world. If they like you, though, they’ll always text back as quickly as they can. They love sharing details about their own life, so prepare to receive plenty of photos from them – they need reciprocation, though, so if you haven’t initiated the conversation in a while, expect to hear from them less until you do.

Capricorn

Capricorns are known for getting lost in their work. Don’t take it as a bad sign if you don’t hear from them for a few days – but if they are interested in getting to know you more, it won’t take them more than two days maximum to get back to you. The biggest thing to look out for is the length and details of their messages – Capricorn won’t hide the fact that they’re just giving you a cursory response versus when they really want to talk to you.

Aquarius is great at texting back…just not when they’re wrapped up in their latest project. If you know they have something big they’re working on, it’s going to take up most of their energy. Otherwise, you should hear back from Aquarius as soon as they see your message – which is going to be pretty quick, given their love of technology. When Aquarius likes you, you’ll know.

Pisces

Pisces enjoys deep emotional connection, which means texts and phone calls on top of in-person communication. If they like you, you’ll get a response from them. If they’re still struggling with figuring out their feelings, though, you may find that you don’t hear back from them that often.
